those types of questions are unknowable to usI assume you mean the answers to those questions are unknowable.
How do YOU know that? That's a rather cynical outlook, don't you think?
We may not know the answers today, or tomorrow, or even within our generation. But, if you don't keep asking the questions, no one will look for the answers, and we will stagnate. It's the seemingly unknowable that keeps us searching for the treasure of knowledge. If we don't find the answer to that exact question, we will discover other answers to other questions along the way.

"Who created the intelligent creator?"
by mankkeli indid the complexity of life arise spontaneously, or did it require a creator?christians believe that a creator is essential.
scientists believe that the idea of a "creator" is pure mythology, and that the complexity arose through natural processes like evolution.
you can actually answer this question yourself with a little logic.

Going to start talking figuratively now. . .
by Lore ini think from now on i should just start talking figuratively whenever i want.. but i'm not gonna tell you when i'm talking figuratively.
you'll just have to figure it out.. .
so in some other thread if you see me talking about the time i smothered a 2 year old i was babysitting, you'll have to guess whether i'm being literal or not.. and when i tell the tale about the time i laughed so hard i shot pepsi out my nose, i could be serious, or i could be being figurative.. and if i say that i'm a 32 year old billionaire heart surgeon with a third arm that helps me with surgury.

It makes you wonder how in the world anyone ever learns the English language. Ever since reading this post this morning, I have been listening for figurative speech....and, omg, we ALL do it! It makes my HEAD EXPLODE!

What/ Who Makes You Laugh?
by minimus ini love certain types of humor.
i seldom have a belly laugh from someone telling a joke.. i like observational humor.
i enjoy comedians that can take an everyday part of life and share their funny observations with us.

Some of the posters on this board are downright comedic geniuses. I won't name names, but Billy the Ex-Bethelite comes to mind as one of them, at least some of his older stuff.
Added because I remember posting this a long time ago: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/139001/1/My-Award-for-Funniest-JWDers-this-week

Is it possible to completely forget the JW experience.
by mankkeli ini am wondering if it is possible to completely forget our jw experience after a long time, and live life as if we have never been one.
no memories, no bitterness, no meeting up with ex-members, nothing connected to the jws in our feelings.. is this ever possible, could it ever happen, and how long possibly..

I don't think it is possible. If you were a witness for more than 3 minutes, the experience affected you. It got assimilated somewhere in your psyche or personality. I 100% DO believe you can get over the experience and not let it affect you negatively, even if negative things happened to you.

since creation denotes a "time sequence" and there was time as we understand it BEFORE creation, whatever existed before the creation of the universe has always existed.
Time cannot exist until there are two things, can it? Time started when the I AM came into being. When that self-awareness was born, although having the same nature as it's father (pure consciousness), a new vibration (word) was released, and through it all the rest of creation came into being. -

If You Heard An Acquaintance Was Considering A Study With JWs Would You Get Involved At All?
by minimus inwould you express an opinion to that person studying with the witnesses or would you keep quiet?.
if you did say something, what would it be?.

No, I wouldn't get too involved. One should be allowed to explore their own spiritual path wherever it leads. I would simply say (with a puzzled look on my face kind of like this ), "You might want to research that cult, I mean, religion on the internet first. Here's a good website that pulls back the curtain pretty thoroughly, www.jehovahs-witness.net.

Elder (or mom) to Brother Lore: Your head is so far up your as*, you can't see for sh*t. The end is speeding down the track like a freight train and Armageddon is gonna hit you in the face like a ton of bricks, brother. And then you'll be laughing out the other end where the sun don't shine!

WHERE did the energy come from?
Where did consciousness come from? What are thoughts? Can thought exist outside the brain. That sounds weird, but there are studies being done that examine this very idea. Since consciousness is the mysterious unknowable (even Science admits it), perhaps that is the key. Our science is at kindergarten level....no! Pre-K level....yet we think we are sooooo intelligent. We are searching searching searching. We just have to keep on keeping on and not become so cynical or dogmatic in our stubborn adherence to Science OR God/Creator that we close our minds and hearts off to the possibilities. The answer is "out there". -

We do not know what consciousness is. Science has never been able to fully understand exactly how it started and so the explanations of how it originated are all over the place. There are scientific arguments about what consciousness is exactly and whether all consciousness is self-contained in the brain or whether some or all of it is retrieved from some subtle field outside the brain.
What if the divine creator is no thing....just pure consciousness vibrating at infinite frequency. Science tells us that all matter is just stuff vibrating at its own unique frequency. The slower the frequency, the denser the matter. Is it possible that everything is just a step-down of a part of that consciousness? Perhaps when self-awareness first manifested as I AM, a new form split off and a new vibrational frequency began. When that I AM desired to know itself, another step-down transformation emerged....and on and on. The original Pure Consciousness remained, but through the I AM vibration, all other creation came into being.
I enjoy reading things that attempt to pull God and Science together. The one thing we can do now as non-JWs is speculate. Some don't care to do that, saying it's impossible to know, why bother? Others continue to search like it's hidden treasure to be found.
