  remember the fears everyone had when aids first hit the news?.

  here was a new killer virus that didn't have a cure and people feared it could be passed on cups, on seats, by shaking hands, by coughing and sneezing and so on.. it turns out that it couldn't and while there is still no cure, the infection rate is actually relatively low.

  it takes 2 years for an aids victim to infect someone else.. now we have sars, everything changes.

  LEGALIZING MARIJUANA IN CANADA.....

  seems president bush is somewhat peeved that canada is considering legalizing small amounts of marijuana............those who have small amounts would no longer face jail time, but it would basically be treated as a traffice ticket.

  hmmmmmm.............not sure what i think about this.

  pot stinks to high heaven (no pun intended) and i don't want someone blowing it in my face...........any thoughts?

  Abaddon: I'm curious as to what kind of laws Holland has regarding driving while under the influence of pot. Are they similar or identical to alcohol laws? I think that there is really no valid excuse for continue to criminalise this substance. An awful lot of crime-fighting resources are wasted upon it that could be put to better use. Legalising it and regulating it would reduce the criminal element while providing another useful source of taxation revenue (I hold the same attitude toward prostitution). However, peripheral issues such as the driving one should be addressed first before pot is legalised, imo. Expatbrit
