what if wts took over the film industry, what kind of movies would we see (using previous movie titles.

) it was entertaining and i knew you guys could come up with some good ones.. ted jarez and the chamber of secrets.

Fire & Rain & Honesty

dear friends,.

just in case some here do not know.

i am for the reform of the watchtower and am working towards that end.. if you will read my posting history you will also see that i am in support of the younger anointed who are being ridiculed and trampled in the org.. i believe in honesty, and just want to make sure all here know where i stand.

Personally I'm all for reform of the Watchtower.

I would see its doctrines reformed into an object of contempt for all society. I would see its riches reformed into compensation for its victims. I would see its buildings reformed into rubble and its leaders reformed into penitentiary inmates.

Most of all, I would see the Watchtower reformed into a very small footnote in the history books.

Many count time by going to Tim Horton's for a coffee break

Um, well I was rather guilty of that particular practice. In fact, it was very easy to convince the car group that since we were there anyway, we might as well have lunch. One Chilli Deal with coffee and a double chocolate donut later, we would roll back to the car, do a return visit on someone who'd gone on vacation to Mongolia for six months, and call it a day. Three hours for the report card, and a conscience crying "out! out! damn donut!" (but not loudly enough to stop us doing the same thing next week).

LANDMARK DECISION - Vicki Boer vs Watchtower Society

as most are aware, vicki boer has been long awaiting a decision to be handed down in a case she started against the society in canada.. the decision was handed down today.

as with any 55 page decision, it will take some time for the legal experts to hash it over and decipher what was said.

but, in a nutshell..... vicki won.

I started drinking

i never drink any alcohol, but since a month, i drink a big can of beer (about 3 bottles) once a week.

beer is good for your health if you take it moderately.

i was just wondering, how much does a person have to drink to be an alcoholic?

1975..Let's Keep It Alive!

1975. the end of 6000 years of man's existence, and logically, therefore, the start of the 1000 year reign, which meant that armageddon had to be done and dusted before that.. i remember it well!

the hype at assemblies, my dad giving up his job and selling his home to move where the "need was great", now minimised by mother with her "oh so you're another seventy-fiver are you" comments.. now it's just something that occasionally embarrasses jw's, some of them deny it ever happened, others think that it was all too long ago to be relevent.. maybe we need to put 1975 into a slot where we can all relate to it.

maybe those of us who remember that year could chip in as well.. so, what did happen in 1975?

I've come across Veenstra too. Gave a typical JW funeromercial talk a few years ago. I'll try and sound out the wife to see if she knows what he's up to lately.
