i have been *accused* of being a feminist.

i use caps, because this term has been used in a derogatory manner when used in reference to things i have posted.

Having said that, I never believe anyone when they say that they want equality. Everyone wants superiority, it's human nature.

Besides, equality is bunk.

in a way im glad the wts has hinted that mobile phones are expensive, time wasting, immoral devices.

anything to reduce the number of people shouting into plastic blocks on public transport gets my vote.

however they go as far as to assume that young people who have one will use it to talk to members of the opposite sex!

So technically I have done something WRONG with every member of the opposite sex I talk to on a regular basis. Considering I am a secretary and ANSWER the phone at my place of business, and I am friendly with those who call and sometimes we discuss personal things, that would make me a WHORE?

Mark Anthony Simpson, Child Molester, With Ontario Ties (JW???)

recently the following events took place in bridgewater nova scotia.

the information as seen was in the bridgewater bulliten a local newspaper and also in the halifax chronicle herald what the paper does not mention is that this is a jw.

what is also not mentioned is that this jw was disfellowshipped in ontario for something and then later reinstated.

That's because Randy Watters isn't a raving looney who does more harm than good.

On the proper subject, is anything known about what area of Ontario this guy was in?

could anyone tell me what the policy is when a dfed person wants reinstatement?

are they questioned about their behavior while dfed or does that have any relevance since they were outside wts policy during that time?.

Is the Watchtower a form of addiction?

hello.. this morning i glanced at the jw calendar for this month.

it has one of those spreads about how becoming a jw improves your life.

you know the type of thing: "when i learned from the jw's i was able to give up smoking/boozing/drugs/coffee/chocolate/naked bungee jumping etc etc".. i wonder if maybe the reason some people have these experiences is because, by becoming a jw, they simply replace one addiction with another?.

This morning I glanced at the JW calendar for this month. It has one of those spreads about how becoming a JW improves your life. You know the type of thing: "when I learned from the JW's I was able to give up smoking/boozing/drugs/coffee/chocolate/naked bungee jumping etc etc".

I wonder if maybe the reason some people have these experiences is because, by becoming a JW, they simply replace one addiction with another?

On the face of it, the JW life does share some characteristics with other addictions. The constant and regular fixes, for instance. or withdrawal symptoms if the drug is not supplied regularly. This would make the GB the equivalent of pushers, and there again there are some similarities.

Anyway, it's just a thought. Are there any online references on the subject of addictive personalities and the characteristics of addictions that a layman can read and understand?

If the Watchtower is an addiction, perhaps methods of treatment for other addictions can be tailored effectively for use on JW's.

COOKBOOK First Draft is off to a publisher

i just sent the first draft of the cookbook to an e-publisher to see if they will accept it.. late submissions will still be accepted and can still be added to the book before turning it into a pdf file.. but the first draft gives them an opportunity to take a look at it and see if it meets their standards.

and it gives me a chance to make any improvements they might suggest.. so cross your fingers.
