  Question about Inactives.

  is there anyways the society benefits from counting me as an inactive?

  up until i had this thought i was content to just walk away.

  i don't really care what actions they take about me since they lost any authority with me long ago.

  Here's one way the society uses inactives to fudge numbers to their advantage. This was posted regarding Germany in this thread: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=10964&site=3

  All publishers had to sign the Publisher Card before which is now viewed as a proof of membership by the Religious Community. The number of 192'000 members is officially given unless there are only about 165'000 publishers. Because a corporation of public law has to have a minimum size also inactive members are counted.

  I'm not aware of any similar advantage to the WT doing this in Canada, but like you, I'd be pretty pissed off to know that I still benefit the bastards in any way.

  Toronto Branch Sizing Down!

  the toronto branch is downsizing by 80 people, some of them paralegals.

  this is, according to my source, definite fact.

  they are being sent home.. i have heard that this is an across the board downsizing to take place at all branches around the world, and i've heard of branches other places which is sizing down as well.. maybe others have heard of a downsizing their own land?

  they direct the R&F to come to the elders for help as a 'safe haven'; THEN THEY SAY LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF HELP YOU GIVE A VICTIM!!!!

  The magazines frequently confirm the "safe haven" part of Dana's point. The BOE letter blatantly confirms the latter half. This is surely a very clear cut case of hypocrisy and doubletalk.

  Is this an angle the Dateline people are following up on? I would love to see the WT pr people try and squirm out of this, when confronted with this letter made public.
