Another reason is that JW's are constantly indoctrinated that everyone and everything outside of the Watchtower organisation is part of "Satan's System", that is, an enemy of God. There are constant warnings against adopting "worldly thinking" practices and ideas, since this can lead to "independent thinking", and thus to doubts about the teachings and doctrines of the organisation. This has included warnings against worldly psychiatrists and psychologists, and by extension to all organisations whose activities could work against the interests of the Watchtower Society, including law enforcement agencies.

The Jehovah's Witnesses live in a shadowy world of fear, with traps and pitfalls placed constantly into their imaginations by the religion's leaders.

OK now Fotopic wont work!

gaaaaaahhh!!!.

the other day i scanned and uploaded a newspaper article and used the "insert picture from web (link)" button on jw.com to get it to show up in a post.

it worked fine.. this morning i scan something else and follow exactly the same procedure and all i get is the red x. is anyone else having trouble with fotopic, or is it me?

My Ghost Experience This Morning

i had a terrifying experience this morning and i'm writing about it as a lesson on how we perceive things.

this type of thing has happened to me several times in my life, but since it just happened again this morning, and ghosts seem to be a topic of interest on this board, i thought i'd share it.. i was staying at a friend's house while she was away.

this place is an old apartment complex built in the 1920's in san francisco.

Thanks guys. The Fotopic thing still wont let me link, but I increased the screen resolution of the photo display so I could copy and paste as Simon suggested. The stuff is just barely readable now.

would anyone like to comment on the following observations?.

the very large majority of the jws that i come into contact with on a regular basis are not wealthy and many have very low incomes, yet they still make substantial contributions to the wbts every month.

because they are firmly lead to believe that it is an organisation that is struggling for its financial survival.. following a recent visit from the c.o.
