5First Birthday card for my Sister.

Tomorrow is my Master's Defense (wish me luck)
by asleif_dufansdottir intomorrow at 2:45 arizona time i present/defend my master's research to basically the entire department (anthropology...all the 'sub-disciplines'...socio/cultural, physical and archaeology).
they've changed things a bit in the program so now all grad students who are completing their ma in any given year present on the same day in one big "ma-athon," so *everybody*...all the faculty and many of the students...will be there (defenses used to have a much smaller audience and rarely had people from more than your own sub-disc).. i'm not as nervous as i could be...i've done several different (smaller) presentations of my research both on campus at brown-bags and on-campus grad student conferences and at 2 national meetings, so i've had lots of practice.. the only bad thing is, out of a bunch of students the whole day, i'm the very.
here's to hoping they're ready to leave and *not* that, since there's nobody speaking after me, they can grill me for as long as they want .

This is kind of embarassing for me. This forum conjers up long lost memories for me. Anyway, after one Sunday meeting (I was about 6 or 7) I was playing with some friends outside the KH and I blurted out "Heil Hitler". Whoa, wrong thing to say in front of Sister xxxxx. She grabbed me by the ear and kicked me in the ass, smacked me in the face and dragged me back into the KH to where my mom was. Sister xxxxx was so enraged, she was yelling and spitting and I think she almost lost her teeth.
When I got home my mom gave me a lesson about who Hitler really was and why what I said was so bad but she really didn't punish me because of the bruises Sister xxxxxx had already left on me.

My neighbor has a Mastif (sp) and I have Italian Greyhounds. Their dog's head is larger than my whole dog.
Also, this is kinda weird. I noticed that the Mastif was not nuetered and asked if they were planning on breeding him. They said no that he was "fixed". I mentioned that I did not know they could keep their nut sack after being fixed. That's when I found out that the dog's nuts are artificial!
Can you imagine the conversation while looking through the "balls" catalog. "Um, honey what do you think about these? "Oh, no dear those are way too small, how about these?" (holds up like earrings).

Strawberry daiquiri's are now a health food!!

Well this sure is a naughty topic to wake up to. The funny thing is when I was much younger I had plenty of one night stands. Then all of a sudden a one nighter turned into 17 years!
Now, I have been single for almost 5 years and I am a slut trapped in the body of a prude. Instant gratification at the expense of my health, not for me. But it doesn't mean I don't think about it!

After the NYC meet-up I won't be drinking Bass anytime soon. And talk about the cherry on top of the cake - Have you ever had cherry flavored beer ontop of a dozen + Bass? OMG I feel sick!
