Yeah, I made a joke when we were fixing up the hall when a cricket came by, I said to check it for a human head, lion's teeth, a breastplate and a scorpion's tail. I guess you can't make jokes about Revelation.

Sure did! -of course, it was Moshe's fault. I followed 3 JW's from my old KH down the sidewalk one day ( I saw them out in service) and walked right up to the door with them- it's a free contry, right? And they don't own the sidewalk. Anyway, when the 70 something elder tries to give his magazine presentation, little ol' me procedes to give the householder a JW expose'/history lesson - The elder blows his cork and starts yelling at me and makes a fist to hit me. I told him- "go ahead hit me, but remember only the meek shall inherit the Earth!" Well that did it , he stormed back to his car with two sisters in tow (who didn't know me) and spun his wheels driving away. I just turned to the householder and she was clapping her hands.

Yeah, the PO got his panties in a wad when I told him he was invovlved in a court order.
Another elder went into orbit when I told him the WTBTS's own literature supports 587 as the year for the destruction of the Temple by Nebbie the second.
Another elder would have shot me if he had been 500 miles closer when I told him the Watchtower Society was affiliated as a NGO for over 9 years with the UN.
Another elder packed up his stuff, called me an apostate and left the room when I happened to drop in on his Bible Study's home with the "Harp of God" in my hand. Needless to say, that was the end of his studying with the man.

While I don't remember anybody actually "losing" it as in the sense of almost being in a fight, I did have a run in or two with a few arrogant, over-righteous types who didn't like something I said.

Yes. Once at a quick build, 2 elders wanted to question me an another MS about a "gathering"we attended.
Neither of us wanted to talk about it so we tried to avoid the elders the entire afternoon.
At the end of the day the elders caught up with us and when they started talking to us we said we need to leave and we started to slowly walk away.
One of the elders grabbed my friend's arm to restarin him and he swung around with such force that he nearly knocked the guy down.
Well he let loose with a string of names and profanity that was heard by all around.
Needless to say, these 2 elders never followed up with us about the gathering and never really spoke to either of us again.

Before I got to my last KH, the elders were known to get into major fights with one another, especially during social events where drinking occured (In the lqte 70s). They got counseled for years by the COs to get along. Eventually most of them moved away and they appointed a PO that was very mild and still there.

yes...his name is, ummm...irrelevent, but ...he intentionally tried to make me cry and he said that he has to stay by himself to avoid idiots.
