This is the first I've seen any group get so uptight about their former friends. Does there actually come a time when you put a period on the past and move on?
Your assumptions are incorrect. I have not associated with Jws for 30+ years. JWD is helping me to put closure on a very distruptive influences in my life. Don't group everyone together, it's too black and white. Do a little research then move on.

i have a very close friend, who is still an active dub.
we have known each other since we were kids and we have been able to maintain a strong friendship - we are actually more like brothers than friends.. we have reached a truce - i don't try to talk him out of being a dub and he doesn't try to talk me out of being an apostate.. we have both worked hard to honor this rule.. my problem is, i am the "godfather" of his son.
meaning if something should happen to him and his wife, i would raise his son.. i have a very close relationship with the boy, he is 7 and smart as a whip.
Solution: Don't go but celebrate his achievement in a different way.

ok folks - here is the deal, i gained my weight back (and some more) after i got my taste buds back from last summer's cancer o' fun.. i'm calling this operation key chain because weight watcher's gives away a key chain if you lose 10% in 11 weeks.. i'm now 172 lbs - 26.9 body index.
i want to lose 12 lbs by july 1st.. who wants to join me?
post your goal here and we'll do progress updates.. my "program" is this.. 1 cup of cereal in the morning.
Hmmmm.......I think I'll join in. I could stand to lose about 10-15 more lbs.

please describe a typical saturday for a jw child.
reason being my jw once told me that all jw children love the door to door (yeah right) and they have all afternoon to play.
don't they need to get ready for the sunday service?
Oh how I hated going out in circus service. I would much rather have stayed home and watched cartoons like a normal kid. But no cartoons for me...had to do some begging preaching. This after the Friday night meeting where we didn't usually get home until after 10pm.
Then Saturday morning circus serivce from 9-12. Afternoon, Brother Fill-in-for-Dad would come and have an hour long "bible study" with us from that awful Paradise book.
No, happy memories of Saturdays here.

i think all people can communicate at a higher level for eg how many can times do you and your partner think of the same thing at the same time?
or you can be thinking of a person and they ring you?.
but if you really feel that you are psychic or that you communicate with "dead people" how did you cope with it when you were a witness?.
