Today is my anniversary

for me it was a combination of things over a long period of time.

being raised as a witness, you do things by rote.

but when you see sooooooooo many watchtower inconsistencies, mistreatment of the "brothers", elder abuse, and simple lack of love, it begins to make you start seriously thinking.

i adopted my cat 14 years ago today.

she is 14years and 2 months old.. i'd do it all over again..... .

I have a cat, Sam, that turned 17 last Halloween. He howls really loudly all the time. He always "talked" a lot but these noises he's making now sounds as if he is in pain or something. I thought that maybe there was something wrong with him and bought him to the vet. Over $200 spent to find out there's nothing wrong. He's just "vocal".

Buggers, to be honest I am so done with cleaning kitty litter. I really wish he would check out. The kitten that I got to keep him company when he was 5 died last year.

MOUTHY NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS AND/OR SUPPORT

our dear mouthy is really having a tough time right now and needs our support and/or prayers.

as some of you may know, she's already lost 3 of her children in death and the other one to the borg.

in the last couple of days, she's had to worry about her 2 year old great-granddaughter being in the hospital with an illness and yesterday, her daughter had a suspicious mole removed from her back and was told there is a lump in her breast which has to be biopsied.

Sweet strawberries?

this may not be the case in the usa, australia etc but whenever i buy strawberries they are disappointing in that they are not sweet at all and only the addition of sugar makes them reasonably good.

only once i had strawberries that were sweet as they should be, i believe they were from scotland, otherwise they are just colour they look good to the eye but they are not tasty (aren't they like the watchtower society?

does anyone know of specific sweet varieties that can be grown at home?

My brother once told me to add vinegar to the strawberries to make them taste sweeter. I thought he was nuts but I cut up some strawberries and put them in a container with a splash of vinegar and let them set awhile. They were very sweet. Go figure.

Make up: Love it or loathe it?

i have just gotten around to taking off last nights trowelling and what a relief that is!

i rarely wear make up - maybe once a month, so i probably go over board.

i feel like my skin just suffocated for 24 hrs.. what do you love or loathe about make up?

I don't wear it anymore. When I first has surgery on my head I used to try and cover up the scar but it was hard to match and blend skin tone.

Like elsewhere, I had a sister who "dressed me up" but she stopped doing that when she realized I was prettier!
