  Adam & Eve question???

  one of my workmates just asked or stated...why did eve have to have a rib from adam and all of the the other animals were just created?

  DO YOU THINK THERE'S A CURE FOR CANCER?

  do you think the scientists, doctors and pharmeceutical companies know of a cure for cancer that they're not telling us?

  when you consider the leaps and bounds in medical discoveries that we've made in the last 50 years, it seems incredible that they're still using chemotherapy and radiation as the treatment for cancer.. while i was one of the lucky one who has survived cancer (so far), it's always in the back of my mind that it could return.

  we all have friends who died before their time because of this rotten disease, yet the only progress that seems to have been made is that they can now 'detect' it earlier, which of course gives you a much greater chance of survival.. there have been stories of people who have been cured through alternative medicine, yet no one in the medical field seems to be interested in anything other than chemo or radiation.

  Mary I am glad you are here to write this topic. But I don't believe that a cure would be kept secret even if the motivation for such a secret is greed. As others have posted I too think there would be plenty of bucks and notariety made on the cure.

  I had my own cancer scare 12 years ago. The doctors had to cut out a sub-cutaneous tumor off my left temple. I thought it was a pimple but it just would not go away. When it changed color I went to a dermatologist. Turns out it was an agressive and nasty form of skin cancer. Because of the way this thing was growing under my skin they had to cut a large patch around it in order to be sure there was nothing left there to grow, then graft new skin over it to close the hole. Pretty, eh?

  Other than the horrible scar, I've been OK since, at least as far as cancer goes anyway.

  i just received a call from mouthy regarding her daughter's biopsy (for those of you who didn't know, she had a lump in her breast that they took out).

  it is benign, not malignant!!

  she's so busy with getting ready to move and company that she just didn't have time to post, but she really wanted to thank everyone for their help.

  Jigsaw puzzles anyone?

  i love them.

  there was a time when i always had one on a large cardboard that i could push under the sofa when i needed the table.

  believe me they helped my sanity during my last few years as a dub.. i had to give them up when i got cats because they thought all those nice little puzzle pieces were cat-sized hockey pucks.

  I love jigsaw puzzles too but like greendawn it is mostly a fall/winter activity for me. I even glue them together when I'm finished and hang them up in my basement fun room. I have a puzzel of the NYC skyline with the twin towers pictured that I will start later this year.

  I'll take a look that site from home. I have dial up in the office and it's slow.

  Any post exposing the WT$ for what it is. I enjoy the way some posters can inject a little humour into almost any topic.

  I've learned so much here from personal experiences and replies to them.

  My all time favorite funny post was made by Terry when I was lurking a while back. Terry wrote a short story about Russell being resurrected and showing up at Beth Sarim and having a conversation with Rutherford. Hilarious stuff. I still smile when I think of that one.
