Just finished seeing Michael Moore's SiCKO
by Jourles ini just got home from bellaire, mi where the first us premiere screeing of sicko took place.
mm has shown the film to a few private groups, but he specifically said that we were the first "paying group" to see it.
there were two showings - i got to see the first showing at 1:00.. first let me say that this film is not political in any way.

favorite weird foods

i had a steak yesterday, i like steak, and it had raw oysters in it.

mrbloo, come on down to new orleans, louisiana, i'll personally cook ya up a batch. horrible life is 100% accurate. you have to eat alot of them to fill up. most people eat between 4-6 lbs. all the flavor is in the head. the trick is to squeeze really hard, will sucking on the head. most people that try it love it. it does take some balls to do it initially though. lol

Pirate copies of Knocking Director

please note that the knocking dvd is copyright protected and it is unlawful to make copies of the dvd, even if you are making copies for friends/family and have no intention of selling the copies.
there are reports that a number of people have been making copies of the dvd, under the assumption that it is ok for "educational purposes" or to give as gifts to friends and family.

for those that haven't seen it, knocking is a total puff piece. almost made me sick. they glorified the blood issue, didn't give any counterpoints to it. they showed how the witnesses fought for the right to preach, and how this opened the doors to many people. great, but, they failed to mention the witnesses don't extend this freedom to others. then, they harped on the concentration camps witnesses endured. i won't make light of what they went through, it was horrible, but, they didn't show how the society at first tried to appease hitler. i give it a over and over.

sleep apnea
by bigdreaux inwell guys, i had a sleep test last night, and it's confirmed, i have sleep apnea.
does anyone else suffer from this?
does c-pap work that good as promised?

yeah, i have the kind where i completly stop breathing, then gasp for air. i have to get the kind that looks like a grekko roman headpiece. lol i open my mouth too much and have to have it strapped closed. the cpaps are so horrible looking. i used to make fun of my parents when they had to wear them, now i have to . oh sweet irony. lol

Called Dad. Got his wife.....
by esw1966 inwell, i called my father this saturday.. i havn't talked to him for a year and a half.
when i talked to him at that time i said my goodbyes and told him we would probably never see or talk to each other again because of his stand.. he got choked up a bit over that comment and said, "don't say that.
" i said, well unless you decide to change matters that will be how it will be.. so, i was able to tell him i love him and he told me he loved me too.

Beautiful Women and Dorks
by Save My Soul inlooking back at a few bethel threads and getting calls from many former friends last week about the assembly season, i reflected back on some of the assemblies of the past, particularly in the 80's and 90's.. do you remember beautiful sisters that just had the criteria of having a spiritual man.
they would get a dorky pioneer / elder / ms and walk together at the assembly.
everyone would wonder, "how the hel did that happen".

emptywords, welcome. i hope you enjoy this board as much as i have. if it wasn't for places like this, and the awesome people here, i don't know where i'd be. it was crazy to me. when i first left, i thought i was wrong. i felt i was the only person who felt this way. then i realise there are thousands of people that, although have differing opinions, feel much the same way i do. the important thing to realise is, your free, and able to make your own choices. welcome to the board, and welcome to freedom. the road will be bumpy, but, alot of the people here are good shock absorbers .
