Red Sox overcoming the curse..definately on of the best of 2004. Besides the Tsunami...tragic that Bush won again, BUT a huge voter turned out...better than it has been in 35 years...so that is the best thing politically for the US for 2004 I think.

Swan, I don't think Dustin meant anything malovent was meant by that remark. He was just mentioning that the two women were crazy, and they happened to be lesbiens. He's just being descriptive. I don't think it is any more prejudice or wrong to write that than it would be to say 2 crazy jehovah's witnesses.

I think they are handling it the way other churches are; and I have seen reports on the internet of organizations asking for people to send money not items for the exact same reasons that are listed. It is a lot more cost effective to get money out there then fly stuff from the US to Thailand and the other areas.
I am not a fan of the borg either, but I don't think there is going to be a great skimming of funds donated on this. I doubt very much anyone on this board would want to give to them either, but I don't think we should spend much time losing sleep over what the WT is doing.
I do thank you for posting your call though, it was interesting, and pretty much confirmed what I thought they would say. I doubt a lot of people who are responsible for picking up the phone is every given all the info.

does anyone know if the children that are left after this earthquake and flood will be able to be adopted by people here in the u.s.?
I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened eventually. Maybe some of the relatives of the children that are already in the US...I think it will take a bit of time before that happens, though.
was it not jehovah?s promise to never kill humans again by means of massive floods?
