What's WRONG with some people (ranting)?!?!
by FreedomFrog inok, i was at meijer about to do my grocery shopping, though before i do shopping, i always eat something so i can stay on my budget and not grab everything i see.
the cafe' was closed so i had to get a deli sandwich.
i went to go pay and a lady steps in front of me.

I think many men would do that, regardless of race or religion. Many obessive men, like this guy sounds.
He probably loved being a JW because it was another way to subject his wife. I don't think actually being witnesses had anything to do with the murder/suicide.

You know, the message didn't bother me, but the delivery. Why don't people realize you are going to get more flies with sugar water than vinegar? Sure, in the Bible Jesus got all riled up and stuff, but he could make water into wine and raise the dead. If you can do that, you are allowed to yell.

The benefit of JWD
by Lady Lee ini know i have made comments about the benefits of jwd but i have some thoughts about this.. for the person who is having doubts and is looking for some confirmation or information jwd provides a wealth of both.
and if it isn't posted here on the board someone usually has a link to answer questions.
for those who have been hurt by the shunning policy or been abused in some way jwd offers wonderful people who understand because they have "been there" too.. for those who are recently out of the wts and are trying to build a new life there are many to encourage and support them.. even those of us who have been here and out of the wts for a long time there is encouragement and friendship.. for those who love a good debate, there is usually a willing jw to try to take them on.. there are some great sites on the internet that provide information.

Turkey grilled or cooked in the oven with a can of beer and seasonings in it tastes really good.
You can buy this beer can holders at lowes or home depot, maybe walmart even for about 3 or 4 dollars so that the beer can stays upright.
It is very good. I forget which beer we used though.

I had a bit of a hard time with the anti JW thing too...but then I was able to seperate (for myself) what was important and what wasn't.
Just like they say at the KH... you have to make the truth your own. For some people, sites like this isn't always comforting. For others it is.

by bikerchic inthey are having an up coming show on religions and have asked for questions to be sent regarding these faiths; mormons, scientology, kabbalah, opus dei?
i know jw's wasn't and isn't listed but and this is a big but, if they got enough emails regarding jw's maybe they would include it in the discussion as well.
it could be a great chance to get national coverage and ask some potential embarassing questions about the jw's.. here is a link:.

Jesus went door to door, but never ask the local Roman authorities for protection from the Jewish leaders that hated him.
Also: regarding college education. You will mention in your public magazines that Witnesses value education. Yet, you privately scoff at college education for your children.
