hey...if I had property to sell, I would put it on ebay...what's wrong with that? It is pretty funny though...the internet being evil and all hahah.
The real estate agent handling the sale probably did the write up and posted it on ebay...kudos to him...he knows how to market.

//What if Micheal Moore made a documentary on the WTS
by Goldminer in.
i recently watched the 9/11farenheit documentary and found it very interesting.how much is actually true and how much is not,i don't know, but i got the impression that micheal moore is for real and trying to open people's eyes to truths we don't see.. anyways,i was just sitting there, wondering what kind of documentary he'd come up with if he decided he wanted to look into the wts.i believe it would be very interesting, and definitely an eye-opener.of course the shallow-minded jw would say it's all propaganda no matter how clear the subject was presented.. i'd love to hear your thoughts on this ...any ideas for a title?

I don't know if I could watch it. the two documentaries I watched, one about GM ( cannot remember the name) and Bowling for Columbine left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I think he could have done a better job. He brings up a lot of good solid points, but his style makes me weary; watching them made me feel like I was watching propoganda, not getting the whole truth. I really don't think him doing a documentary on the JWs would hurt them any more than if he did a documentary on catholic priest pedophiles. It would cause some press, but I doubt very many would leave the fold.
I like the Oprah idea...now if SHE did a couple of shows, invited some SilentLambs speakers, etc...put Crisis of Conscious on her book list...BAM!!! that would make an impact.
God love Oprah...one of the few celebs that wields a lot of power and uses it pretty responsibly.

Berry girls case: Analysis of case law favorable to the WTS
by loveis inok, just to play devil's advocate for a minute here (or, now for our weekly session of classroom law on court tv .
posted below is a past new hampshire supreme court case that is very favorable to the wts position in the berry girls' case, and has surely been cited by them big time in their briefs (it was mentioned briefly by wts lawyer donald gardner in the audio, which has been posted on these boards several times, of the oral argument session before the nh supreme court.
laws 1971, 531:2. in 1973, the penalty section was amended to provide that a violation would constitute a misdemeanor.

being from NH...I have to say that I have heard of several cases that were referred to the police by the school system...had a relative in fact that was victimized and one of her friends told a school counselor. The person that victimized her is now in jail.

Tsunamis out ????
by rockhound inthis past week is surely one all will remember.
one day a tropical "paradise", and the next day a death trap for over 150,000 people.
are the huge plates really going to stop pushing on one another so that there would be no danger to "paradise"?

Tsunami...
by Country Girl inthis is a big if.

Hell, I have five kids...it's like having tires..you need at least one spare.
No, just kidding,...seriously...I often think about something similiar when there are hurricaines in the US and rich people lose their beautiful seaside houses...and FEMA pays...how stupid...it happens every few years...when are people going to RESPECT nature and not build a house on every available piece of dirt next to the ocean???
But...this of course is not the same as what happend with the Tsunami. Most of these poor people that lived next to the sea, and were out working it respect nature, and their lives depend on it. What I think should change is the warning system, or should I say LACK OF warning system. The sad thing about this is that while there probably would have been a great loss of life, it should have never been as bad as it was. There was actually people going close to the ocean to see the big waves...they had no idea what they were really looking at. As soon as the earthquake was picked up, apparantly there was an effort for warnings to be sent out...but there was no systemized way to do this to contact the areas that were involved quick enough, or at all.
I am not sure really the issue of birth control played that major a role in the numbers that died. Yeah, if everyone couple only had 1 or 2 kids, then maybe there would be fewer locals dead. But how do you know that might have just meant that there wouldn't have been more Tourists there?. Maybe to some degree, but still, I don't know. I did read of one mother that lost all 11 children...I cannot even imagine her pain. I come from a family of 11 kids. I do believe that a couple shouldn't have more kids than they can handle, or will work in their culture. If I was in China I know I probably wouldn't be bucking an maternal trends there hahah.
So...after a long and rambling post (it is after 4am...and i have been up all night with kid #5 who is still sick)...I guess what I would like to see changed is the technology to warn people of these Tsunamis better. It is a case of respect nature, and get the hell out of the way when necessary.
Interesting question! =)

Which Ones Got To YOU?
by Sunspot in.
rather than hijacking lostreality's "question" topic, and frannie's post---i began to think of movies that were particularly moving to me...... there have been many throughout the years, but right off the top of my head i'd have to say "imitation of life" (lana turner), "love is a many splendored thing" (william holden), "the way we were" (barbra streisand) and "evergreen" (barbra streisand) that really made me lose it in the theater.. what movies struck *you* the hardest?.
annie....who should have invested in the kleenex corp)

"Sophie's Choice". I have never watched this movie, and I never will. My friend saw it, gave me the run down, and I cried just listening. I have never been able to bring myself to watch it...just too, too sad.
Muriel's Wedding...don't ask me what it is about this movie...but it just is a wierd good movie that makes me happy and sad all at the same time. Must be those ABBA tunes...I love ABBA...and of course I cried when I watched ET die...but hey, I was 12 or something.

oh sorry...I hit post before too early...I just wanted to say that those that truly are your friends WILL take no for an answer.
Some people may not realize at that second they are taking advantage of you, but again, true friends will see the light...sometimes you just have to smack them in the head.
