just a reminder to the minnesota flock.
just because i am not there to oversee the festivities does not mean i don't remember what happened the last time i visited greater north.
i would hate to think that there are divisions among the flock that would not allow for partaking of spiritual food.

i have already gotten an email from someone stating that their gift arrived safely in the mail.
i thought it would be nice to start a thread where we can post what we got (for those nosey like me who want to know!
) and a thank you.. as for me, i haven't even begun yet!

THANK YOU SO MUCH XENAWARRIOR!! everything was absolutely wonderful! perhaps the inspirational calendar will make me a weeee bit less crabby as i leave for work in the morning, the shot glass is definitely going to have its place in the bar, and the tart burner rocks--need i say more??!?!? i'm so glad you came to the twin cities this weekend. it definitely would not have been the same without you. well my man and i have been talking about getting engaged.
we have been looking at engagement rings and trying them on etc.
now i wont know when he has chosen the ring or is going to propose but he wants some suggestions as to how i would like to be proposed to.
just make sure he steers clear of "well, i guess if we have to, i can bite the big one, and we can get married."

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was watching the news last night.
the latest word from the war front is that we should be able to peaceably work out our differences with north korea.
as humiliating as it will be for us to kiss north korea's ass, we will do so because they do have the ability to nuke our west coast.
it makes me sad to hear some of you say that you're not proud to be Americans.
on new year's day, i had the privilege of spending a good chunk of time with my grandmother and some old family friends. alot of their conversation was spent reminiscing about WWII and their lives in the time surrounding. maybe some of us forget just how damn easy we have it today. i listened to their stories and felt humbled by what i heard. this man was just a young boy when my grandfather found him in germany. he was alone, the rest of his family killed in concentration camps. he traveled with my grandfather and the other soldiers and they kept him under their wings until the war was over. after the war, my grandparents still fought for his freedom. i've seen the letters written to, and the responses from, president truman. my grandmother still has the letters after all these years. eventually, he was granted his US citizenship and came to live with my grandparents and great grandparents. i know he would be thoroughly disgusted to hear people say they are ashamed to be Americans, and i am as well. there will always be great pride in my heart to be an American, knowing all the sacrifices made by those willing to defend our freedom.
