  Thread for support of diet and exercise...tips

  last nite in chat i had a good time talking about different weight loss strategies and exercise.

  i am trying to get myself in shape ,start walking and my diet is in need of a major overhaul.

  what do you think is the best way to get in shape?

  a bunch of us girls at work have decided that we're going to have a little club. kind of all help each other out. starting january 1 and for the 4 months following we're all going on our own diet & exercise programs. we're not going to weigh in, but twice a month we'll post how much we've lost (or hopefully not, gained) since the last check in. we're thinking it will be good motivation since for most of us, there's deadly snacking during our work hours. we all have high hopes that this will be the right combination for us.

  i have been awaiting, nay willing my "inactive persons' shepherding call" (whatever) and it hasn't happened yet!.

  i haven't gotten any visit either. been faded for about 2 years now, but i moved out of a large metropolitan area to a much smaller community in a different state.

  when i was at my sisters for christmas, i notice that she had many of my grandmothers old photos.

  she had one of them reproduced for my sister laurie and myself.

  i used to go through grandmas photos often and was so glad to see them again.

  this is a picture of my grandparents back in the late 40's. as close as my gramma can figure it's from about 1946 or 47. i always loved this and have one of the originals (she found a spare) on my entertainment center in the livingroom.

  ok i think i made a mistake.

  tomorrow is dedes birthday, and since i will not be here tomorrow i want to give her gift today and post it here.

  i always loved "one piece at a time". i used to giggle and sing it with dad.

  and a good laugh.....we were on our way to the meeting one night and used to pick up an older sister. dad always listened to the radio "hot rod lincoln" came on and she thought it was rap music. LMAO!!
