not long ago, a month or two back, i thought it was about time that i got my eyes tested, cos i wasn't believing what i was seeing.

(last bit, just an off the wall comment, no relationship to the actual sentence).

it was certainly an altogether interesting perspective that one picks up at the opticians.

that's a pretty common occurance, especially if you're visiting an ophthalmologist. the trend is to have a scribe (the woman writing things in the room). helps the doc be more efficient, if they're more efficient, they can see more patients. oh, and hey, who can read doctor's writing anyway?? LOL

Jerry Springer Show...

now that i've got some time on my hands during the day i noticed something odd about the jerry springer show.. it seems like every time it is on, one or more people are on the stage naked and waving their arms around and yelling.

why the hell do people on that show feel so compelled to take off their clothes?.

i love trashy daytime TV. when i was at my other job, i lived close enough to venture home for lunch and could usually enjoy a good helping of jenny jones or jerry springer or another show of that nature. ahhhhhhhhhhhh............the good ol days, lol

well, sadly i have.

probably like 15 pounds or so.

i feel like shit physically.

i know i've lost a little since i've been out. my clothes that i wore in high school are a little baggy if i wear them now. mostly i notice that i feel alot better about myself and am much happier. lately i've been trying to get up at least 3-4 mornings a week to hit the gym before work. at first i was worried that i'd be so tired working out in the morning then working a long (10 hour) day at the clinic. it's been the opposite though. the mornings that i do go, i have so much more energy the rest of the day. that can be a really motivating factor. it's tough to drag my arse outta bed when it's still dark out and below zero.

Is it possible to stay friends?

i am no longer in touch with anyone i've had a relationship with in the past.. there was one man that i stayed friends with long after i had got over the relationship.

however, the "staying friends" stuff dragged out the process of getting over the breakup to painful lengths.

the friendship lasted as long as he needed a mate in the area to pass an evening with when he was around here, and someone to fill out the numbers and buy a present when he got married.

the circumstances of the breakup certainly contribute to whether or not you can remain friends after. if the relationship didn't work out due to certain circumstances rather than serious flaws with either individual, i believe it to be more likely.
