  Less Perfect, Less Communication?

  i've always wondered why it was, that when mankind was supposedly closer to perfection, god kept in direct contact with people either through angels speaking, or prophetic dreams, seas parting, etc.

  but the further man got from perfection the less and less contact he gave people.

  it seems like the worse off we are, the more help, or direction we would require.

  Non-JW Friends...

  Oh no RHW!! :( That was so harsh of them!...man, talk about ice cold! brrrr. Wow and I thought the time I helped this one sister clean her entire house for the witness party she was having that night, and when her 7 year old daughter said "mommy, can Michelle <moi!> come?" and the sister said "No, she's not invited" was bad. OUCH!

  And LDH!!! That is so cool what you did....My hero! It's so rare that people like that are actually put in their place. Your daughter is lucky to have such a brave mom :)

  LOL!!! too funny Simon. yes Jeri Ryan is beautiful, And i think her acting is absolutely fantastic as well.
  There are no cute guys though! I used to have a wicked crush on Patrick Stewart, But there's no one I find attractive on Voyager. I'm hoping they cast Liev Schreiber in the new series. Hehehehe <hey I can dream can't I?>
  Yes there is a new series in the works too! YAY...it's in its formative stages right now though. Have heard a few rumours as to titles and and formulas, but nothing is concrete at this point.

  The Dune Movie

  did anyone see the dune movie on sci-fi channel a few months back?

  thought it was really beautifully done!

  of course if i hadn't read the books i woulda been a bit confused, but the cinematography was great.. one persons heresy is anothers truth

  Hi all! Did you all see the NEW movie though? Not that David Lynch garbage..But There's a new one. Has the same cinematographer that did The Last Emperor...William hurt plays for The Duke. It's a 3 part miniseries. I also read the later books, and didn't care for them...especially the last one in the series. He turns Alia into a real fruit loop

  I hate to say it, but the KH I spent most of my formative years in, had more Cliques in it than any school I ever went to! I remember having my feelings hurt more than once when the *cool* people <clique, clique...hey what's that cliquing sound? LOL> in the congregation would get together and I wouldn't be included or get an invite. Now as I look back objectively I couldn't care less, but at the time it was really quite painful! (Of course that was just my experience from this one particular group of people, and not representitive of ALL KHs.) I guess the point I'm trying to make is that people are people no matter where you go <even if certain people would like to think that they aren't like other people, hehehe> This whole *worldy people* thing has always reminded me of Dr. Seusses Star Bellied Sneetches story, doesn't it? "But they've got stars upon thars!" LOL
