  "out there"....a SCARY place to be!!!

  wow.....thanks for the warm welcome.... i was just thinking what an interesting journey that it's been since june of last year, when i was dfd for the second time.. some of you wanted to hear my "story"...well, was raised in the truth...elder, pioneer (wanted those special blessings, ya know) cir ass.

  parts, the whole thing... left my wife of 27 years, and made the long trek back to reinstatement after 18 months of humiliating abuse by the most dysfunctional group of "spiritual men" (yeah, right) that i have ever seen.

  finally came back, crawling on my knees(i was "humbled", don't you know)...well, without getting into details, "sinned" then "confessed" and was promptly dfd again.... the scariest part at first, of being dfd, was "being out there" without jehovah's protection....all alone...no one to support me in my spiritual recovery....subject to demonic attack.....jehovah withholding his protection and blessings.....sheeeesh, that's enogh to scare the hell out of anyone!!!

  i've kept up on the topic of blood transfusions and the "fractions" of blood that are acceptable ( according to god=f&ds ).

  i've read up on bloodless surgery too.

  for any here who are familiar with the change in understanding of the 1914 generation, it may seem quite shocking.. the society put this information on their site *after* the change in understanding and have kept it there for the past five years!.

  one thing that bothered me was at the convention they had these witnesses up on stage giving their life stories, well if its their life stories why do they ned cue cards?

  i know where i was born and raised, and how i became a jw, i don't need cue cards to remind me!.

  people who want to share their religious views with you almost.

  This isn't a peeve as much as a puzzlement, why on the circuit overseers visit do they switch the Tuesday meeting to Thursday, and the Thursay meeting to Tuesday? I'm sure there must be a *logical* explanation

  Another Strange JW View On Things

  i remember a few years back this one poor sister telling my about how several years earlier she has had a baby who'd only lived for several hours after he was born.

  she went on to state how relieved she was as of late because the society had in recent articles stated that, if a child has breathed the breath of life it would be resurrected.

  so here this poor woman thought in the interim that she would never see her child again!

Bizarre, warped view of God, eh? Has anyone else heard anything like this in the societies writings?

  Oh that's right!!! Silly me Forgot that they are of *The annointed* and have special rights that the rest of us poor slobs as members of the *great crowd* aren't party to. Think they should change their name to the *nonny nonny foo foo we're better than you crowd*
  Thanks for that quote from the Paradise Restored book Trevor. That's another great example of their pot calling the kettle black. Not to be crass but remember being a child and hearing the phrase "He who smelt it dealt it" ? lol. I think the WTBTS has a severe case of this

  leaving the tower was easier for me when i stopped and contemplated what the future would hold if the jws were right after all.

  everlasting life on earth under threat of death if like adam, eve the devil, the israelites in fact most of the human race, i made a mistake at any time.

  to live in a world run by strict elders who have been elevated to princes seemed a worse fate than death.

  That was brilliant! Too bad they <the GB,WTBTS> can't see how ludicrous their teachings seem when actually viewed as a real scenario involving actual humanity. If that's their idea of a loving God than can keep him!

  I have been going through the June 22, 2000 Awake magazine and boy is this thing full of "we say one thing but mean another". Case in point:
  on pages 9 and 10 there is an article called "Do not be a victim of propaganda" on page 10 under the subheading 'put information to the test' It states:
  "Beloved ones" said John, a first-century teacher, "do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions." (1 John 4:1) Some people today are like sponges; they soak up whatever they come across. It is all too easy to absorb whatever is around us.
  But it is far better for each individual personally to choose what he will feed his mind. It is said that we are what eat, and this can apply to food for both the body and the mind. No matter what you are reading or watching or listening to, test to see whether it haspropagandistic overtones or is truthful.
  Moreover, if we want to be fair-minded, we must be willing to subject our own opinions to continual testing as we take in new information. We must realize that they are after all, opinions. Their trustworthiness depends on the validity of our facts, on the quality of our reasoning, and on the standards or value we choose to apply.

  Wow too bad the GB doesn't take their own advice and admit that everything they decree isn't a divine proclamation, but is an opinion or interpretation and nothing more.
