Hey guys and gals! Mr. Flipper here! Keep your answers comin' through the weekend and by Monday or Tuesday I'll add everything up and see which artist got voted the most popular! This is fun and revealingly interesting as Monophobic said. Hey Mono- I agree that some choices I don't like either, but remember music is a real personal and objective thing. What's good to one person might not be to the next person, we all have our tastes. so be patient, we are just havin' some fun here! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

about the watchtower society is the question.
on the one hand, had we remain-.

It would have been better if they had not even started that organization. But since they did, I'm glad I'm aware now of their inconsolable allegiance to rules ,and the fact they are a cult. It made me see I never want to be controlled again

Comments You Will Not Hear at the 7-22-07 WT Study (Elderly Blessing)
by blondie inelderly ones, a blessing to the young.
do you associate often with people younger than you?
q1, 2) what should elderly servants of god appreciate, and what will we now consider?.

Blondie, Mr. Flipper here. Liked your comments! I always have to laugh when the governing body promises these people that" what they have now is nothing compared to what they"ll have in the real life in the paradise". So this life is a dry run, right? What the hell is this,a fake life? Personally I like my REAL life very much, thank you very much and intend to use it in a good way making happiness for others and myself. It's so weird this thought they have, it totally keeps them from living in the here and now. I do feel for my dad 82 and mom 80, who have been in the witnesses since 1951. Like you said the watchtower is printing this garbage to make older ones feel like all is not lost as they"re dying off. It's so sad! How evil of that organization to promise all this false junk to people when it's not in their power to promise them one damn thing! I could go on and on! Peace to you, thanks for your thread, Mr. Flipper

If you ain't a PIONEER, You ain't SH**!!!
by Open mind inmy loyal-dub wife had a wonderful morning knocking on empty homes earlier this week.
last night she confided in me with an observation.
she has noticed what she perceives to be a "pioneer clique" in our congregation.

Open Mind- Mr. Flipper here. yeah, I pioneered for 3 years before I had kids in my early 20's. Having to work, pioneer, and support a non-working pioneer wife was a load! I never fit into the cliques either. Couldn't stand listening to the self righteous attitudes most of them had. Later, in my 30's was in a congregation where this one pioneer sister was an emotional terrorist. Took great delight in humiliating other sisters' efforts and only worked with her fleshly sister in service. Many people didn't have the balls to stand up to her as she thought she was sister elderette, giving out unsolicited advice to whomever she thought needed it. But a really cool elder took her aside when the emotional death toll in sisters' in the congregation had become too much, and he put her in her place with firm counsel. So she started working in service with others. But as time went on, the counsel didn't stick as she had psychotic problems and divorced her great elder husband, nice guy, for reasons unknown (not scriptural reasons though). But I can assure you this much, that's a man counting his blessings. She was a terrorist to him too. Peace out. Mr. Flipper of the glad as hell I'm not a pioneer and worn out class!

What JW Things or Beliefs Never Really Interested You?
by minimus ini never cared about chronology.
i was never interested in stupid convoluted explanations about dates or how a scripture in revelation applied to the anointed.
it was always bs to me.
-
flipper
Minimus- Never was interested in anything dealing with the 144,000, the heavenly hope, or ruling as kings and priests junk from Revelation. When we went through that in the Revelation book, it bored me to sleep. I'm an earthbound guy, totally. I was so uninterested as a youth, mom would let me sleep on the floor. Boy those meetings went fast! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

If The Watchtower Decided To Show Love, Their Numbers Would Rise
by minimus inthere's no sense of contentment and joy and happiness within the ranks of jehovah's witnesses.
people are miserable.
depressed.
-
flipper
Minimus- As others have said, including you, yourself, the witnesses are so caught up in regulatory rule setting, just like the Pharisees of old. Rule for this, rule for that. Control, control, control. No real love can dominate when everybody is being scrutinized to the 10th degree, so much it makes people paranoid just looking at someone differently and everybody is sitting on edge wondering who the axe is gonna fall on in the next disfellowshipping. It creates a atmosphere of distrust and lack of love. Until the rules change, it would never happen. Saying "if the Watchtower decided to show love, their numbers would rise" is like saying if Bush decided to pull out of Iraq, no one would die. Stands to reason

I know who micromoose is and it's time to out him. He is Ted Jaracz' 5th illegitimate child. Was sent away to military school at age 7 and his father gave away all his pets. Always got picked last for the kid's sports teams and then got in huge trouble for joining in the first place. When he was 16, papa ted had the locks changed at Bethel and so threw mm out into the streets. MM had a gender change at 20, then changed back at 22. Is actually a very kind and giving person - always down helping at the homeless shelter, takes in stray animals. However has severe (spiritual) food allergies which cause him to act out on this board. mrs flipper

Corey! Thanks for letting us know you're ok. I'm so glad. This has been a good reality check for all of us as to how bad it can get - we need to keep an eye on ourselves and others and try to be aware when our moods are just starting to go downhill, then try to take care of it before it gets so bad. Trouble is, the worse off you are the harder it is to talk about it. So glad you did talk. So we see that micromoose also is talking about it - his issues, that is. Lots of anger there....or his meds ran out. Offensive, for sure, but I suppose it's good to know who's out there. Your'e a good man, Corey, keep on keepin on. mrs flipper
