IMPORTANT: JWS and the CHARITIES COMMISSION

some time ago i wrote to you about the dangers of jehovah's witnesses and how they don't deserve charity status because far from helping mankind they are a real danger to it.

The Charity Commission recently announced changes to their rules as to what constitutes a charity... it was a couple of months ago, but I don't have the link with me at the moment.
Basically the Charity must provide a public benefit... this applies to faith groups too... here is a quote from the proposal (I can't find the most recent one)
37. When deciding which groups of charities to look at first we will take account of issues of risk and public interest. For example, concerns have already been raised about educational institutions and hospitals, about other charities which charge fees. The Charities Bill proposes that the presumption of public benefit for religious purposes is removed. As a result, many such charities will be thinking about the public benefit requirement for the first time.

Control of the members in order to make them nothing more than slaves scared of damnation if they don't obey their leaders...
Slaves that either work to make the leaders rich - or else just to give the leaders a power trip.

MY DAD MIGHT DIE DUE TO THE 'NO BLOOD' DOCTRINE
by Mary ini don't have much time to post as i'm headed back to the hospital, but my father collapsed this morning and had to be rushed to the hospital.
in a nutshell: he needs a blood transfusion as his hemoglobin is dropping (bleeding internally), but thanks to this fucking cult, that's not an option...........he'll accept the fractions but those bastards from the blood liaison committee have already shown up to ensure he doesn't cave............... for those of you who still believe, i'm asking you to say a prayer for my dad........and if anyone from crooklyn is reading this: you better hope my father doesn't die due to your fucked up rules, .

Is it "Deception" or are they simply "Misguided"???
by The Scotsman inas many of you know i have been looking abit closer at the teachings of the wtbts or is it the fds or is it the governing body, its all abit cloudy now.
anyway my point is this - is it deception (a deliberate attempt to mislead people) or is it that they are misguided (think they are right but are not).
my own opinion - i think they are in the middle somewhere.

When I was in the process of leaving a ran across a complete text. What they left out was all about Jesus coming back in 1874, the time of the end beginning in 1878 and a number of other things that most JW's today would regard as nonsense. It immediately struck me that whoever wrote that passage in the Yearbook HAD to have known what should have been contained in the ellipses. I have thought ever since that they are deliberately deceiving their followers, at least at some level.
That's a good point Jeff... likewise the Revelation book (both editions) state that 1914 was predicted to be the BEGINNING of the time of trouble... but a quick look at the Watchtowers of the time show that it was obvious that it was going to be the END of the time of trouble...
I wonder why those early Watchtowers aren't on the Watchtower CD
