I'm afraid that I don't know how different the US version of the KM is to the UK version of the KM... (wow loads of initials).
I don't have any reason to believe that it would be any different except for the "deliveries" info etc.

Actually, if the "end is near" then surely it must be worldwide... It would be great if they only said it was near for the UK. I'd have to frame them side by side.

yesterday, i provided a 20-page document prepared by jehovahs witnesses who were devastated by the 1975 disappointment.

these jws produced other documents like that one and i will attempt to locate them.. today, i am opening the human side of these witnesses.

We also want to spend our time wisely because "the time left is reduced." (1 Cor. 7:29-31) Very soon now this old system of things will end. Opportunities to participate in the great in-gathering of sheeplike ones during the "harvest of the earth" will end. (Rev. 14:15) We must be-careful not to allow life's anxieties and distractions to rob us of time that would be better spent in the ministry. (Luke 21:34, 35) How satisfying it will be to look back knowing that we had a full share in the harvest!

Is it appropriate to affix our personal email address to literature that we distribute?
By means of a stamp or a printed label, some publishers have affixed their personal email address to the magazines or tracts that they place with others. Those who accept the literature are then able to contact the publisher to request additional information. Such efforts to help interested ones are well-intentioned. However, our official website is already indicated on the back of the magazines and tracts. Therefore, it is best if we do not affix a personal email address to the literature.
Whether a publisher provides people in the territory with contact information on a separate piece of paper, especially when making return visits, is a personal decision. We should take the initiative to call back on those who are interested instead of just leaving it up to them to contact us for more information. Genuine personal interest can be more readily manifested when speaking with the person face to face.

This reminds me of the genius poster here who wrote the web addresses of "apostate" sites.

not sure if this has been covered already, but there was a rumour on here that the conventions would last for 4 days this year.. the latest km indicates that they will still only last 3 days .

An email from my Dad on Bible Chronology - Armegeddon's arrival

i cannot provide any background info on my dad except to say that he is not an attender anymore, but is not apostate.. years ago, my dad showed me why he thought 1975 was wrong, and he gave me a date like 2011, 2012...back in 2004.. it actually made sense to me back then, and obve's posts reminded me of my dad's calculations..... only my dad's calculations were not based on addition or multiplying of random crazy numbers, .

but actually were logical assumptions based on the scriptures as he understood them.. here is his email to me...it might be lengthy, but it is easy to follow and understand.

Hi Ms Eclipse,

I bought a second-hand "reasoning" book the other month, and someone had scribbled their own calculations on a bookmark - also pointing to a date around 2010.

I'll dig it out and post it here... it looks like they also scrubbed the idea of 1975 out - hence the reason that the book was probably donated to a charity shop in the first place.

I will also have a look over your post when I get home from work - and post a proper reply
