Help me, this new light confuses me....

ok, so if they change the rules and allow everyone who feels the spirit to partake of the memorial then that means that there may be no limit on how many are sealed.... am i right?

if thats' true then ther's no longer a 144k?

if that's true, what does that mean about the great crowd?.

I think that they'll stick with 144,000 until it becomes a problem...

I guess that the numbers may give them away when they are published (if the correct figures are given)..

If the numbers aren't published, people may notice more people partaking and start to do a little chatting between congregations, but how will they see the big picture ??? The internet ??

Good lord, if that's true then anuyone who in the FADS that wants to question policy of the FADS can't be dis-fellowshipped. I bet that rule won't change.

The article about 1935 (2007 May 1st QFR), says that anointed ones aren't as special as "experienced Christians"... it was basically an article to keep them in line.

i spoke to my jw mum about the new watchtower study magazine and how in the first issue there is a change in "light" regarding the anointed.. she was floored and totally accepted that if they started to accept new anointed ones (non-replacements) that it *could* indicate that the society are extending the time once again regarding the coming of armageddon.

the idea is that if they accept new anointed ones, then they could be fairly young, hence they could still be around for a lot more years!.

Not a breakthrough.
JW mum got herself a copy of this new article and read it. She tried saying there was no change in doctrine. After some discussion she admitted they'd changed doctrine and that the anointed were still being "called", but that "it is a good thing"
They are so indoctrinated they can't see that this is just a ploy for the society to make armageddon even further away.

from previous posters, we have had access to the watchtower's accounts (uk), and especially the related company (ibsa), but... apparantly accounts are not as easily available in america.. does that apply to canada too ?.

how much the organisation is worth worldwide ?how much profit the organisation makes worldwide ?.

DRAGNET: ALL the fish were thrown on the shore. Don't get excited about the large numbers at the Memorial. Maybe these are not all good fish.

Is this a hint that the Memorial PARTAKERS will be high in the figures that are due out... are just that the number in attendance is high, so don't get excited - there is still much work to do ?

INSPIRED = INSPIRITED.

How the hell can they say that the Spirit is "helping" them but they are not inspired ?

They make the Spirit sound like something that you take in doses when you need it... a bit like Lucozade !

following on from terry's thread about mind filters and being open minded....... i'm neo-pagan.

for a loose definition of my beliefs see here http://www.religioustolerance.org/neopaga1.htm.

but i'm willing to consider christian belief systems.. just recently i've been studying the jewish kabballah (qabalah).

That experience taught me two things: Organized religions are not the way to God, and the process of conversions starts with us.

We have to recognize our need for God; call out to Him for direction; then follow His leading. It is a personal, not organizational, thing. I also found out that reading the Gospel of John is the best way to find the real Jesus.

I'll echo that.

It stands out for so many reasons, and is by far the most spiritual.

Sylvia, thanks for sharing that. I am not able to share my experiences, I'm afraid - as they will identify me too easily for any lurkers that I know..
