Our Kingdom Ministries

i am wondering if anyone knows if there is an assembly in ireland around the end of this year to beginning of next year?.

can anyone else also supply me "our kingdom ministry" for dates of assemblies in uk.. i'm not planning to cause trouble at these gatherings.

it's just that i have a court order which prevents my child from being taken to these things and i need evidence to stop the mother and stepfather forcing my child to go against his wishes.. the mother and stepfather don't tell him of course and keep it a secret right until the last minute.

This translation helped shed some light on things with a JW that I spoke with - it stumped him

Ecclesiastes 3:19-21 CEV

Like animals we breathe and die, and we are no better off than they are. It just doesn't make sense.

All living creatures go to the same place. We are made from earth, and we return to the earth.

Who really knows if our spirits go up and the spirits of animals go down into the earth?

JWs act as if Ecclesiastes had all the answers, but the point was that he DIDN'T - he was searching like everyone else.

With regards to the Body being equal to the soul how do JWs expain these verses ?

Here is what I discovered: A bad woman is worse than death. She is a trap, reaching out with body and soul to catch you. But if you obey God, you can escape. If you don't obey, you are done for.

i have been seeking out other sites and believe i have found something that will work for me.

it is a secular site, but it does have a religious section.

this exists as a text file in a couple of different editions, but as far as i know it's never been posted as a scanned image of the original printed edition.

it's from a copy of a photocopy, so the clarity is not perfect but it's plenty readable.

kudos also to a fellow jwder who helped me get the ocr to work better.

I too would rather have the printed edition over the audio edition.

It is so much easier to digest in the printed format. When listening to the audio version, when you hear something that makes you think, "No, I can't believe they said that", you have to rewind it etc... wherease the printed format provides a lasting record of their duality for the future.

How many exiting JWs are going to be prepared to listen to several audio CDs and being told to compare the phrase 12mins30seconds of disc 1 to the phrase at 15mins22seconds on disc 2 etc etc ?

It is so much easier to highlight changes with scans.
