Excellent article, but here are the "key points"...
some posters i realise have an affinity towards spirits!!
i am fussy at times about what i drink and with whom i drink it.
personnaly, my favorite is jack daniels black label.
No ice and make it a double.
Or maybe a pint of two of the black stuff...
i didnt see anyone post this, if so, sorry for the repeat!.
my computer is infected, with a virus that was sent through windows live messenger.
the file came up as a zip file that makes you think its a picture sent to you by someone in your friends list.. if you click it, your infected, and your messenger will freeze, or close every few min.
Have you tried Avira AntiVir - it's free and a great virus scanner.
You could also boot from a boot CD and delete the files manually, then run Windows "System File Checker" to replace the missing files.
Maybe ?
these are not the same thing right?
is the difference just a nuance of language?
i may be getting them mutually confused.. just for the sake of conversational understanding, could i oversimplify and say that "pantheism is 'all things are god', 'the universe is god'?
I think they explained the difference between the two pans. You know, i never studied about pantheism, and then decided that that was what i wanted to be.
Exactly.
First comes the experience... then maybe some attempt to classify it - but classification isn't necessary really in my mind.
from where did existence come from?
in what period of time did existence appear???
wait a minute...how can existence come from nothing...when you cannot get nothing from nothing?
New Scientist have printed several good articles pondering whether time exists or not.
They did speculate that time is merely a trick that our consciousness uses to make sense of everything existing all at once in a singularity - October 1999 if memory serves me correctly.

Just for the sake of conversational understanding, could I oversimplify and say that "Pantheism is 'all things are god', 'the universe is god'? Wheras Panentheism, again to make an almost absurd oversimplification, the universe/multiverse is contained within god.
First off, I'd like to know if I have that understanding correct. Are there other simple ways that can be used to describe these beliefs (just so I can understand them)
For those who have these beliefs, what is the personal significance, what does it mean to you.
Personally, I am in my current belief system version 3.60. When I was a JW that was version 2.0 Version 1.0-? never had a chance as I was raised in the JW from age 7-8.
My current beliefs are Taoist, but my understnading of that philisophical framework is also changing over time. I want to understand the two mentioned P???theisms to plumb the depths of my own way.
PanENtheism states that all the component parts of creation are within God, but that God is more than the sum of the component parts, whereas many pantheists believe that all "are God".
I have known Pantheists to pray to anything (fish, trees, bricks) but a panENtheist will only pray/connect with the greater "mind" in which all is contained. I am (currently ) a Panentheist, or so I was told after explaining my views to a Christian study group. Most looked disgusted but a couple (including the tutor) explained that they felt the same way and started quoting scripture that seemed to suggest it (In Him we live move and have our being etc etc). Philip Clayton has written some Panentheist bits and pieces, as has Michael Fox - they may be worth a look.ponder this scenario:.
an alien "scientist" totally unfamiliar with the human and its anatomy comes to earth and sees a human sleeping.
it sees no other humans around, so has no frame of reference to evaluate this creature nor understand what it is doing.. the alien slices into the mans skull and pulls out the brain.
Journey On - I like the idea. I have often thought about it in reverse :
God is the brain and WE are the consciousness, we are the signals that the neurons fire around, we are the thoughts.
in september 2004, farkel posted an article on this forum called "rutherford exposed: the story of berta and bonnie.
" his essay, which subsequently was translated into several languages and which received over 10,000 views after the first month, spawned a thread that ran 28 pages and contained the collaborative research efforts of many in jwd.
this thread was thought by some moderators to be the best in the forum -- not necessarily because of the claims in the original essay but because it inspired a staggering amount of research aimed at assessing the credibility of the claims made in the essay, as well as adding to our knowledge of this fascinating yet obscure chapter of watchtower history.
Thanks Leo.
I arrived here towards the tail-end of this thread, but it was invaluable and has led to one of those obsessive thoughts that get lodged in the brain !!!
JC wrote : He [OBVES] states that only the spiritual ones would understand his numbers.
This is something that I can't agree with. Whilst OBVES may state it, it doesn't make it true.
To me, a numerologist would understand his numbers whilst a "spiritual one" would understand spiritual things.
I find it easy to speak with you (JC) whereas OBVES is difficult to shake from his habit of puring out a box of numbers onto the thread. In fact, when I tried to PM him he told me NOT to !
That actually made me laugh.
Jesus' message was simple. OBVES' message is occluded and obscure.
It is possible to believe that "things are brewing" in the cosmos without having to pin a time or date down. As I said over on JWO to you, I don't believe holding a date over someone does anything to change their innermost being - all it does is act like a sword of Damocles hanging over someone and serves to push up the membership figures of wicked end-time apocalyptic cults that are devoid of The Spirit.
it's important to verify the complete 1926 watch tower quotation that follows: .
answer: certainly they have not returned.
no one has seen them, and it would be foolish to make such an announcement.
There are also masses of 1925 quotes here to sift through :
