YAY!!!! I got my finals back from my financial class!!

and i passed with a b!!!!!

most of my grades have been above a b but with this class even my friend told me (who is a number cruncher), they gave us an unfair advantage because they threw in all kinds of variables that was a bit too advanced for a person starting out.

the college is going to change this because they realize it is a bit much for "beginners" but we weren't so "lucky" to have it changed for us.

Door to Door Risk Factors?

if you had, say, a daughter around 11 or 12 years old, would you let her go door to door with a friend also that age?

with all the strange people out there, is the watchtower society contributing to dangerous situations with their manner of preaching?

at least, the mormon's go two by two with young men.. some large cities have apartments up dark stairways and many neighborhoods are not even safe during daylight hours.. outaservice .

our cong didn't let sisters work together in evening witnessing and if there weren't enough bros and an odd number, it was a bro who had to work on his own and definitely not a sister. so they were slightly safety conscious at least.

i'm still a window cleaner.

i'm not going to rant at the 'society' because they don't own my anger anymore but my work is certainly a legacy of my cult past.

A piece of paper might earn you more money, give you more prestige but imo you broke free from mind control, you have raised children to be free thinkers, that makes you Nic with the Masters degree in my eyes. Masters Degree in Freedom from Oppression.

no piece of paper giving you a degree would ever take the place of being a good father.

Fall Fair: Or Pumpkin and Apple fare :o)

a few miles from our home a fall fair is held every year.

it is held between an apple orchard and a pumpkin farm next to a christmas tree farm.they were having pumpkin tosses, face painting, hay wagon rides, horse and buggy rides, horseback rides, scarecrow building events, apple tasting, wine tasting, cider tasting and events for the little kids to take part in.. there were adorable alpacas that were so cute, and a place where sweaters, hats and scarves made from alpacas could be bought.

there were several goats, and a booth where goat cheese and other edible goodies made with goats milk could be had.

There is USUALLY a great beer and cider festival in Worcester as part of the Worcester festival - i love it but it was cancelled this year because of the flooding :(

i'm not a big fan of surgery.

i always exhaust all non-surgical options before doing it.

i know enough about medicine to know that surgery is effectively a controlled injury... and that makes me nervous.

i remember the jw parties that i went to, complete with wholesome jw activities.

the jw do a lot of miming games where they portray an imagined character.

let see what else....... a lot of pioneer sisters (why were they all sisters?

I did that too! Was at a party in Stoke and moshed away with friends from that cong trying to stop me, could never figure what was wrong with moshing.

Did you all do the game where you had a bible character pinned to your back and you had to do who am I questions - am I in greek scriptures or hebrew etc

I annoy hubby by constantly washing his 3 pair of jeans altogether so he has no casual clothes to wear! I don't mean to - they are on the floor by the washing and I figure they are supposed to be washed!
