Lurkers, Have no fear! See WT encoraging you to examine your religion!
by Lady Liberty indear friends,.
examining the faith that you have held so dear and have had all your life can be a scarey thing.
especially when the very religion you have trusted discourages you to examine their credentials.

by RULES & REGULATIONS inelders are very busy before and after the meetings.
they have many parts during the ministry school.
they have elder meetings after the meetings are over.

Well my mom lives in the next town, she hasn't a vendetta against me and isn't bothered that i celebrate xmas and b'days, comes round every week and when the tree is up comments that it's pretty.
So not quite the same as you BUT
when elders from the area I live go give a talk in her cong, she used to ask them to come visit me, and they never did. haven't heard anything from anyone in near enough 4 years and have patted my mom on the shoulder telling her i'm more trouble than i'm worth to them
so even if your parents went to the trouble of contacting your local congregation and asking them to call, the elders may not even bother!

hindered prayers says my wife...so I stopped
by oompa ini really have never understood prayers too well or how they are answered or not.
i really think it is more of a self-help type excercise.
aren't there some really funny experiences in the yearbooks on prayers answered!?

food tastes the same... doesn't it just?!
actually mine tastes better as it's not been taken on a load of bile induced by a prayer

A CALL TO ACTION: HIGH PRIORITY
by Wingman inhi everyone,.
a letter has been prepared by anonymous brothers to be sent to bodies of elders around the world.. of course this is a massive undertaking and we are asking for assistance from active and inactive ones around the world who share the sentiments of the letters contents.. your participation in this action indicates your sincere desire to see change within the organization that has become authoritarian in recent years.. we ask that the letter be addressed to "the body of elders" in each respective congregation.. please do not add any further information or commentary.. we are also relying on non-english speaking brothers to translate and distribute this letter.. it will not matter if more than one letter is received by each congregation.

Many congo's that I know of don't have letter boxes, I know ours didn't and the local one doesn't either, would have to go to an elder maybe. To be honest I wouldn't send any letter as it will just make the cult personality appear and they will probably not read it. I understand you want to do SOMETHING though and the letter is well written, I wish you luck

How Do You Normally Dress?----- How About On A Night Out???

i have 30 suits plus.
preferred color: black.

I NEVER wear a dress unless it's a black tie event, too many years of having to wear em. I generally wear smart jeans with embroidery/patern on them and a top. And I too don't like to flaunt my boobs - I figure they are for my hubby to leer at but not for anyone else! (34E)

That is not a good way to give that kind of information, it's a shame, they become so emotional inept.
