oh dear my cooking skills :(
by bluebell ini have a bread machine and lately its been squeaking so i sprayed wd40 on the mechanism... and now the whole house smells like parafin and my bread is probably ruined.

607 to 1914 calculation question
by bluebell inis there any culture that actually used years of 360 days length?
if so, surely there would still be some kind of leap year to correct the calendar, why is that not taken into account?
i'd never thought about it when i was a dub because you're not supposed to think!

by bluebell ini borrowed it from my local library, it was very interesting.
the one i read was written in 1983, has any updated copy been released at all?

No internet connection!!!
by bluebell inwont be on in the evenings until computer is fixed (some problem with the server which internet provider and phone operator are unable to fix, been offline for 5 days so far).
so i only have access at work and thats not private at all - people can see you and the screen.
it's lunchtime at the moment so most out the office and i've been surfing but only scratched the surfance of today let alone all i've missed.. i'm out of the office alot and will be out for 3 weeks from 4 june.

carbon dating
by bluebell injust wondering and not wanting to take over perrys thread re: dinosaur dna.
i know the dubs poo poo the idea of carbon dating saying that it's all wrong and that the human and animal remains are not millions of years old because according to them mankind is 6,000 years oldish, is there anywhere where they contradict themselves on this, so that they accept carbon dating on some things and not on others?.

by bluebell ini'd like to have january 1, 1997, watchtower magazine article, abhor what is wicked, on my harddrive to print off.
recently visited by elder and his wife, want to show why i left - my father should not get responsiblities as a molester.. i know it's here somewhere but i cant find it - i googled it but only got references to it and not the article itself.. also - has it ever been policy to advise victims to go to the police?
or just hush it up?

Wish this were the other way round...
by bluebell ini met up with someone i used to know but lost contact with about 3m ago - i saw her in the street and struck up a conversation, mentioned that i didn't go to meetings any more and it turned out that she didn't either.
anyhow, have been keeping in touch with the odd phone call and text but her bro died last month.
he had just started studying (they were all bought up as dubs but their father used to beat them up) and got baptised at the last assembly.

I got an early b/card and pressie!
by bluebell ingot an early birthday card and pressie from an aunt i have known for less than a year!
as she lives overseas i thought it was a lovely though (she could have sent an e-card and i'd have been happy) and very good to arrive just a few days early.
pressie was a maltese cross on a necklace.

Happy
by bluebell ina post about shunning and how we didnt have to just accept it but could show that our door of unconditional love was open even if theirs was shut prompted me to e-mail an immediate family member who i had not seen since a grandparents funeral (i am not da/df but faded too quick and married to non dub).. just came back from coffee with them, and when they left they thanked me for suggesting that we meet up!
this person is a pioneer and maybe didnt feel comfortable suggesting it themselves?!

Sigmund Freud and Rutherford??
by bluebell insomeone suggested to me that rutherford (i think, they just said one of the founders) went to a talk by freud and incorporated hypnotism into the meetings.
they said that w/t study set up made you go tick tock between reader and conductor.
i thought it was funny.
