(he said this to my wife).
they reasoned, how could someone, who was a pioneer, bethelite, worked at the rbc, district and circuit level, taught at the pioneer school, helped dozens to baptism, suddenly and inexplicably, leave jehovah's organization?.

Livestock - 1st and 2nd Plague

I think some of the problem with figuring this out is how much time elapsed between plagues.
I don'think the Bible says. I may be wrong though. There may have been enough time to
aquire more livestock from other countries. If someone knows of a time table of the plagues
I would be interested to know.

Does Anyone Like the New Songbook?
by metatron ini'll try not to be 'knee-jerk' critical about this subject but do any witnesses like the new songbook?
ok, they got rid of some awful lyrics about molesting bees - and downsized references to the ever redundant jesus - but the music itself sounds like forced piano practice.
trying to sing these slow, pedantic tunes is awkward and painful.. i haven't seen any witness e-mails about this 'wonderful provision from jehovah' and his faithful hacks, so i wonder if the rank and file aren't enthused either.

My wife was listening sunday on the phone and I Happened to be listening for a few minutes.
The song was playing and it sound like crap, no beat, just a hodgepodge of notes, no rythym.
I told my wife that it sounds like crap, and she said it was because it was on the phone.
I told her the greastest sound system in the world wouldn't help that thing. She said no
more.

At our hall they actually lined up to greet and meet him. It was enough to make you sick.
Then they will they tell you how they talked to the CO, like I give a flying crap.
It is that stuff and the way they talk about how wonderfull the talks were and how
great field service was and on and on.

Im going on 10 years. Stay away from processed foods, keep your weight down, keep your
carbs way down. Avoid stress (good luck with that one). And excercise. I also use stevia
for a sweetner. Green tea everyday. Apple cider vinegar everyday. And anti-oxidant berry
juices everyday. If you can find aloe vera juice take it everyday. And take chromium picolate
everyday. Im 63 years old and overall feel great (so far).

when this elder was pressed on the matter, he replied that it was because of all the years of laughing & sneering & mocking that he had put up with, quoting the scripture that goes along the lines of 'where is this promised presence of his'.. i realise now that this person is not loving.
and yet, i would hear similar sentiments from others such as 'just wait until the end' or 'i wonder if they'll be saying that when jesus comes with his big sword'.. even as a jw pioneer, the thought of such a thing happening to people repulsed me.

I always thought it was nuts for jws to say that the billions of people had their
chance. What chance was that. Millions of people dying all the time, who have
not heard of Jesus Chirist and the message in the Bible, much less the crap
that the society spews forth. Also I wonder how they would feel if God
let everybody off the hook like in Jonahs day.

prayer before eating
by stillin ini mentioned to an elder/friend the other day that it occurred to me that there really doesan't seem to be any scriptural precedent or mandate for the tradition of praying before we eat.
i said that jesus blessed the loaves and fishes when he performed that miracle, and he blessed the wine and bread at the last supper, but i couldn't think of any other example of it.
i also suggested that the tradition of praying before eating was probably rooted in giving thanks to the various gods of nature and the perception og god as being involved in the outcome of the harvest, and that, by that way of looking at it, we probably shouldn't pray before eating....silence..

I have went through this with jw friends and relatives. I don't say prayer before meals. If they want to that
is ok with me. I thank god in private. I think it is just a showy display. If you have to bring up
saying the prayer then it doesn't mean much. If you say it for the food how about saying
one before you begin to drive in your car, etc., or before you breath. The whole thing is silly.

Elders Contempt for the Old & Disabled
by LittleSister inas they get older many loyal jws find it hard to get to the meetings due to poor health and disability , my mother falls into this category.
there are also others who are disabled or unable to physically be at meetings from time to time.
for many years our congregation taped the meetings and distributed these tapes so all could enjoy the spiritual food of the meetings.

They definitly treat the older ones like crap. My wife visits many of the older ones. As far as the tapes and the
phone, they are a big joke. My wife used them for a while and it was like pulling teeth to get them.
The relatives of the big shots would get them first and most of the time would never bring them back.
They would tape over the wrong tapes. Lose the tapes. And the things sounded like crap.
It was bad enough to listen in real life, but listinening to the tapes was pure torture magnified by 10.
In this hall there was always a kid screaming right next to the camera. I mentioned that they
could hook the sound up directly to the sound system but in several years it never happened.
My wife has to constantly remind the elders to remind people to visit the older ones. The witnesses
prove themselves to be nothing but a bunch of hypocrites.

Just research it on google, you will never put the crap in your mouth again. I was having all kinds of
health problems , dry mouth, bad breath, very frequent urination, unbelievable thirst, and many more.
Came across information on aspartame by accident, stopped using it , started to improve within
three days, symtoms completed gone in one week. I now use stevia which is a natuaral product.
It has no glycemic affect, is great for diabetics.
