  Would you go to the Memorial?

  since i was raised as a jw i have never missed the memorial.. now since i have been df'd i"m not sure whether i will go or not.

  my wife is still a jw.

  should i go for her sake or not?.

  never ever ever again!!!!! this will be the third memorial that I didn't attend!! it was always just a fashion show for all the sisters anyway ... who had the best new dress this year? UGH

The Romans associated it with Greek ************* "pure" and changed their spelling to reflect this.

  The latter, "pure" is the meaning of my name that I am most familiar with and have seen in most name books ... the others are news to me, especially "torture" I'm not really sure what that means!!

  i was at my daughters school this morning to look into her accounts(lunch money/milk money) and making sure she had enough.

  given the knowledge that my daughter has more than the usual student - sadly i asked, if there was aid for some kids in need.

  expressing that there is aid, however, it's only for lunch, as some students don't have breakfast and go to school hungry.

  I just wish everyone could see things this way! I work in a very wealthy part of my city, and seeing the way (some) people behave and what they put priority on, really gets under my skin sometimes.

  changeling: I got that same condescending fluff letter in response to MY letter regarding the medical issues!!! They like those fluff letters ... I'm looking forward to getting another one soon!!

  I understand that you are trying to get away from judgmental people but you will find them everywhere. This board is a VERY diverse group of people and some are a little overly cautious, (with good reason some of them), but there are some REALLY good people here too ... I PROMISE!!! Don't let snide comments get under your skin!

  I Have a Commercial Janitorial Service - And Proud of It !

  i hope well.

  this is a subject i've been wanting to approach for awhile as i've noticed on the board at times there have been wisecracks about janitors who were jehovah's witnesses .

  now , hey, i'm real, have a good sense of humor, and can take a joke like anyone, be the brunt of a good joke, hell, i laugh at myself when i work alone at nights- just to keep entertained !

  I did cleaning for many years for a living ... comercial, residential, new construction ... you name it, I cleaned it. I loved it!!! I would do it again if it weren't so hard on my body ...

  I feel that as long as you are happy and find fulfillment in your work then you should stick with it!

  Wish me luck!! Having surgery in the morning...

  i'm having a minor outpatient surgery in the morning in charlotte.

  the hospital just called me and asked me how i felt about blood transfusions and if i had any religious beliefs that would hinder my medical care.

  they still had listed from years and years ago, that i was a jw.

  I used to live in Boston ... my favorite place!! I miss it but I don't miss the snow and cold for 6 months out of the year!!
