  It is pretty obvious to anyone who has ever had the ultimate in all fishing expeditions that it is the unlikely hope that they will get swallowed by a whale and recued by god and branded a veritable Captain Ahab for having not only caught up with the whale but resided in it entrails till rumours spread far and wide that this individual indeed has been spotted with a Moby Dick thereafter being followed around by heards of enchanting females!

  It is the classic 'get god on your side and have women drooling over you' manoevre!

  Now Perry go tread your mill and grind some corn!

  Then go lick someones hind quarters and save them from choking to death so you can feel you did something valuable!

  Was Jesus really without sin?

  he violated the sabbath law and he saved a condemned woman from being stoned in compliance with the law.. does it matter he had scruples and self-justifying theological arguments?.

  would those arguments have saved anybody else from being put to death?.

  technically speaking (the letter of the law) could we truly speak of jesus as really without sin?.

  Missing Link - that is another contradiction of the new covenant Jesus rendering the old covenant invalid rendering the idea of a Messiah impossible by default!

  Otherwise if he and the father were one and really wanted all that bloodshed, how come he came along turning the whole thing on its head?

  Maybe he had a trip over to India before he was 30?

  Athiests please answer these questions

  i'm not trying to pick a fight i was just sitting at my desk pondering on some threads on jwd and i would very much like this question answered.. why is it that athiest often (not always) direct their argument for athiesism towards christians?

  why not direct your argument towards buddists or muslims or even new-agers?

  i mean they also believe in a higher power so why is it that only christains seem to get knocked?

  I think I could ba a buddhist or a wiccan - though the solitary idea puts me off cuz I have been for too long!

  I could be a few things along those lines but have no passion for any in this moment! I do feel they are superb beliefs like nature itself almost!!

  life!

  i have begun to live it - instead of waiting on the 'real life' we had been promised as jw's.

  it started 4 years ago - but it moved slowly past the weeks and months of 'research', trying to find where i fit, then into an understanding that i didn't - at least not conventionally, fit anywhere, religiously speaking.
