i know this may be an annoying subject .
but if you did have to give up doing what you wanted in a career or opportunity - what was it ?
how controlling was the organization over you, and were you counseled by elders or higher ups to not pursue certain jobs, opportunities, college , etc - so that you stayed in the witnesses for awhile ; not doing what you wanted?
I gave up trainee manager cuz a toy store sold replica guns
and turned down training to manage a new car sales outlet cuz they had a cigarette kiosk.
a friend has a relative who has been having a 'bible' study and has just been 'approved' to spread the watchtower's message.. the relative is 'working' their towards the portable swimming pool and my friend would like to use the current 100+ questions to show his friend exactly what it is all about to get involved with the jw's and what can get him shunned for life if he fails to measure up.. my friend has already read and agrees with auldsoul and what is on jwfacts about baptism but wants the actual questions as they are presented in the latest 'organized to do the fds' will' book.. thanks in advance..

my wife's brother recently went to costa rica to vacation and to visit their fleshly sister.

Weirdly it's incredible how if you act like you see this and hint suchlike to anyone they see you as jealous or attempting the same or whateva.

My take is some truly treat popularity like a whole life game of poker = stay in the game and keep winning is a way of life and a daily pastime!
Their conversations seem to be about what cards others may have in the whole 'popuarity stakes'. The idea sucks which kinda means I dont really believe what I just wrote but it does fit the observation very well.
To many including me - big time - it's about being hoest with your soul to each other!
