Ever thought of taking up golf? What's in it? True, there's more to it than what meets the eye such as meeting people and you should have no problems meeting people since you were a witness. Getting to know the game will take some doing and if you want to do something, learning and playing the game is an interesting challenge.
Once acquainted with the sport, a routine will gradually develop. The scenery and landscape of a golf course is worth the walk. If this isn't your cup of tea, surely there are other activities that's worth pursuing. Don't waste your time and life thinking about things, DO THINGS. If you want to return to the fold, that too is ok with me, if that's what you want.
Don't feel remorse for expressing your feelings and thoughts. Enjoy the day and the family.

Maybe I should go back and be a good little dubbie again!!
by AK - Jeff ini believe that i am experiencing a profound change in my personality, and those changes are at a stage where i have honestly contemplated this recently.
honestly.. i don't think i could ever do it - anyone who has followed me on the boards here know that i am neither suicidal nor an apologist for that lot.
yet, having been off work for a few weeks now with surgical recovery, i have had time to make assessment of my future.

Any one enjoys gardening?
by greendawn inin the new ground floor flat that i purchased there is a garden area outside which is l shaped each leg being about 15 by 2 metres or about 50 by 7 feet (the rest of the outside is paved) and as the weather got better i planted a lot of the usual vegetables, aubergines, yellow peppers, tomatoes, courgettes, strawberries, cucumbers, runner beans a total of about 50 plants, and many flowers.
if all goes well i will not be buying much vegetables this summer.
i mixed in natural manure two months ago to give it time to get digested and hope i will not need to use any chemical pesticides.

My wife passed away one year this month, she was one heck of a gardner. Spent all her time and energy taking care of her plants (children) Since her death I've enhanced her garden and I'm waiting for the weather or spring to finally arrive so I can continue. I'm also a tree surgeon, so I'm familiar with her line of pleasure.
More people need to engage in gardening. It has many self-satisfying rewards.

Abaddon, when I was in Jamaica for a golf tournament, we had a party in a building that supposedly housed spirits/ghost, call it what you like. The tour guide told us that those who challenged to stay the night had some terrible experiences. He then turned his attention to us and asked if anyone would be willing to accept the challenge, sorry, no one did. My question to you would be, would you?
About Native American Indian culture your not versed in it.

People who don't believe in the 'spirit' world need to spend some with Native American Indians, especially the one who wears a 'false' face.

Stress Reduction 100 Years Ago
That we live in an extremely stressful environment is abundantly evident. However, stress is nothing new - it's been around since the begining of time. Robert Louis Stevenson made these suggestions over 100 years ago.
* MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO BE HAPPY - learn to find pleasure in simple things.
* MAKE THE BEST OF CIRCUMSTANCES. No one has everything and everyone has something of sorrow.
* DON'T TAKE YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY.
* DON'T LET CRITICISM WORRY YOU - you can't please everyone.
* DON'T LET YOUR NEIGHBORS SET YOUR STANDARDS - be yourself.
* DO THINGS YOU ENJOY DOING - but stay out of debt.
* DON'T BORROW TROUBLE. Imaginary things are harder to bear than actual ones.
* SINCE HATE POISONS THE SOUL, don't cherish enemities and grudges. Avoid people who make you unhappy.
* HAVE MANY INTERESTS. If you can't travel, read about places.
* DON'T HOLD POST - MORTEMS or spend time brooding over sorrows and mistakes.
* DON'T BE THE ONE WHO NEVER GETS OVER THINGS.
* KEEP BUSY AT SOMETHING. A very busy person never has the time to be unhappy. Times haven't changed - relax.

They need to re-read what Romans 2:21-24 says, "...do you, however, the one teaching someone else, not teach yourself? You, the one preaching "Do not steal," do you steal? You, the one saying "Do not commit adultery," do you commit adultery? You, the one expressing abhorrence to idols, do you rob temples? You, who take pride in law, do you by your transgression of the law dishonor God? For the name of God is being blasphemed on account of you people among the nations"; just as it is written.

At my age, I still do tree climbing and removal. Every morning I religiously do my 'deep' breathing exercices. I've been doing it for the past years and it works. My monthly acupuncture treatment is followed by a lengthy body massage.

What is FAITH?

sad emo, all ironworkers don't have the same function. The steel erectors or "connectors" are the ones who assemble the steel together followed by men you plank the floor another crew who who aligned the structure followed by men who bolt the assembled pieces together and finally the detail gang. These men are far safer than the "connectors". For myself that I don't entertain the danger of doing this type of work, if I did (like some have) they would not be in the business. Today's ironworkers have to abide by more safety rules and policies than the ironworkers of old. Osha has changed many rules about erecting buildings, many.
My purpose of bringing up this subject is, even though you CAN see the beam directly in front of you, do you the have faith to walk this beam which is many stories above street level? People ski-dive, people jump off bridges into canyons with only their ankles tied off. These people can SEE.

Sad emo. "...but how does he or anyone else watching know for certain he's not going to fall off?" There are not guarantee's in this trade. being busy in erecting the structure keeps our mind off falling. The possiblity of falling is ever present but it isn't our main focus, doing the job at hand is. Over time it becomes second nature. We are talking about faith, it takes faith to believe in yourself that you can perform the job under dangerous circumstances.
