  Interesting article about the evidence of the Jewish Exodus

  the reality is that there is no evidence whatsoever that the jews were ever enslaved in egypt.

  yes, there's the story contained within the bible itself, but that's not a remotely historically admissible source.

  i'm talking about real proof; archeological evidence, state records and primary sources.

  The Jew`s were slaves in Egypt right ? I don`t think slaves would have owned camping equipment , tents , ropes ,pegs ,utensils , etc.etc.to take with them on their banishment from Egypt do you ? They were just told to go not knowing they would spend the next 40 years in the desert.

  With at least a million people wandering around the desert for 40 years , think of the sanitary conditions , with no running water on tap.Did they have portable latrines with them ?

  The area of land covered with a million or so people in living arrangements , those living in the middle of such an environment , do they take a crap on the outskirts of their encampment ? Think of the logistics of these scenarios .

  the wt have lost in their attempt to stop the uk charity commission's inquiry into their affairs.

  Well we can only hope for Justice , can`t we ? The trouble is secular authorities seem very reluctant to prosecute religious institutions , no matter how questionable their practices are .

  I was going with my girlfriend for about a year when I was contacted with the "truth" and convinced her it was the "truth" a year later we were married in a K.H.

  33 years later we both left the religion .

  And just recently we celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary .

  Gross! Grooming of young brothers in the KH to do more for Jehobadahhh and his organ-nigh-say-shun! I saw it myself.

  so there is this young brother probably 14 or 15 and the elders are already grooming him to do more for jehobadahhh.

  most of the elders in this kh are old like 60+ and sometimes there are not enough brothers to do the mics or sound so you will see a 70 year old elder forced into action.

  almost comical to see a brother who thinks instagram is an email service try to operate the sound system and projector as he plays the wrong song or brings the screen down during a prayer.

  I think it is commendable that macy has apologized for her comment on him being a pedo.

  However my wife thinks women`s intuition is spot on

  I`m not wholly convinced .

  macy I have to question why you would ever want to get reinstated ? to get closer to family members who so easily discard you ? because you no longer believe what they want you to believe ? How shallow they are , if that is the case .Who needs family like that , your better off without them ,if that is the case.

  If you do jump through the hoops and navigate the maze of B.S. to get reinstated , I give you six months at the most before you dump them again , and this time for good.

  i hope i added this topic so everyone could read & comment.

  i was just thinking, since this arc thing, does anyone here know any one in australia, that knows about the arc or how it's affecting the jw's there.

  i used to go to a site that had a really nice person who is a jw, he never argued or debated, never sent back hateful comments, & he lives in australia.

  Don`t expect anything to happen soon my friend as J.W.`s are only part of the ARC investigation into Institutions of Child Sexual Abuse .

  The final report is not due out until December of next year I believe .

  I think their were seventy plus recommendations the ARC put to the J.W.`s and they have all been challenged

  That`s about it as far as I know how it stands at the moment.

  How it`s affecting the average J.W. ? Apart from the few who have obviously woken up to TTATT because of the screening of the ARC ,the majority , as jwfacts suggests ,just brush it off as an Apostate conspiracy to defame the true religion , and simply dismiss it.

  We Aussies would like it all to come to a head as soon as possible , however its going to take time, and we just have to be patient.

  Their is also an enquiry taking place in the U.K. that should prove very interesting .

  Has anyone noticed the JW movies are trying to normalise their lifestyle?

  having watched the prodigal son returns movie produced by the organization and a recent mini-clip of a brother in london who is shown jogging and doing normal everyday things while wanting to "reach out" it occurred to me that the organization is trying to normalize their bizarre lifestyle and beliefs for the benefit of non-witnesses.. what do i mean by normalization?

  they try to make the witnesses look like just another christian denomination who are reasonable while their members live and enjoy normal lives that appear to be within the mainstream.. they do this by not mentioning anything to do with higher education, armageddon or the urgency of the end of the world nor is their discussion or mention of the blood issue.

  these are things mentioned often at kingdom halls and in study articles.. watching the prodigal son returns, the family appears to live a normal life, going to meetings and studying.

  So Jehovah`s Witnesses are trying to project themselves as just another normal Christian Religion ?

  Another mainstream Religion ? I don`t think so .

  It wouldn`t wash., They do not want to be classed in with the other 45,000 Christian Religions in the world today.Most of which all claim to be "The Truth " apart from any other group .

  You are right these movies are not for the general public , they are for J.W`s and interested persons only.

  " In America you can take classes on line in your own time at home , especially for Certificate `s."

  So the J.W. response is , why put your Christian life in jeparday by going to higher education`s institutions when you can get it on-line.in your own home.

  Happy Pi Day

  tomorrow is march 14 (3.14), so its known as pi day, to honour the all-important constant.. incidentally, the bible has been criticized by mathematicians because the scriptures give a very poor value of pi.. the scripture is based on 1kings 7: 23 and reads as follows:.

  "and he proceeded to make the molten sea ten cubits from its one brim to its other brim, circular all around; and its height was five cubits, and it took a line of thirty cubits to circle all around it".

  now that shape is actually mathematically impossible to construct, because if the diameter is 10 cubits, the circumference would have to be 31.4159 cubits.
