My 13 year old niece was put on probation for smoking a cig. 2 years later she was still on probation , they had forgotten all about her and her situation. Loving shepherds eh?
Of course she is now married and way out of the religion and bringing her 2 children up away from the cult.
I agree that baptizing children and then expecting them to make mature adult decisions and when they don`t to D.F. them ,along with the shunning , is nothing short of child abuse.
And they should be taken to task for it.

The more the G.B. stuff up with their bad timing for new songs etc, and make the meetings an embarrassment for newbies and unbelieving spouse along with the rest of the congregation , I say keep it up G.B., you make our job that little bit easier. ( our job being , helping people wake up )

You should not even exist!
by stuckinarut2 ina thought struck me...... the very generation (no pun intended) of people who the society is focussing so much attention on, that is the children, should not even be here!
(think caleb and sofia etc).
their parents, who are probably aged between 20 - 40 are the very generation too that should not be here if the societies strict guidance from the 70's and 80's was followed by their parents...ie to not have kids "because the end is soooooo close!".

My wife and I were told our children would never have to go to high school , this was in the early 60`s .
Not only did they go to high school they have children of their own who have not only gone to high school but their offspring are approaching it as well.

Maybe it is an aquaintance of your sister , a SDA who thought she/he might " witness" to her , after all they do a similar work.
From time to time they do D2D work as well but not on the scale of the J.W.`s , as do the Mormons who go from D2D as well .I have even known some Baptist churches doing it.

by Witness 007 inwhen i grew up in the 1980's -90's it was rare to see a faithful slaves picture in 10 years of watchtowers.
everything was anonymous.
no one really knew there names except for the "holy oricle" fred franz.. now they are full on t.v stars with there own show.

this was in australia, but the khs i've seen (in the us) are designed so that you'd have to almost intentionally want to ram a building to cause this kind of damage.

Luckily the car was driven by a lovely 78 year old sister of the Congregation and she escaped unscathed , and nobody else was hurt .
Had it been driven by a mentally diseased apostate the kingdom hall would have been demolished ,again with no injuries to anybody.

by cappytan inthe reality is that there is no evidence whatsoever that the jews were ever enslaved in egypt.
yes, there's the story contained within the bible itself, but that's not a remotely historically admissible source.
i'm talking about real proof; archeological evidence, state records and primary sources.

The Jew`s were slaves in Egypt right ? I don`t think slaves would have owned camping equipment , tents , ropes ,pegs ,utensils , etc.etc.to take with them on their banishment from Egypt do you ? They were just told to go not knowing they would spend the next 40 years in the desert.
With at least a million people wandering around the desert for 40 years , think of the sanitary conditions , with no running water on tap.Did they have portable latrines with them ?
The area of land covered with a million or so people in living arrangements , those living in the middle of such an environment , do they take a crap on the outskirts of their encampment ? Think of the logistics of these scenarios .
