It makes you wonder why Jehovah`s Witnesses accept the Bible Cannon used by Protestants .( Apostates)
or for that matter why they accept the name of GOD Jehovah coined by Apostate Christendom .
One of their excuses for using that name was because it was universally accepted in Christendom (Apostates)

the 'current events' editing staff of this paper likely has no idea what their promoting.

myself and my peers in the jw organization in the 1960`s discouraged our children from entering into competitive sports because of the jw policy , regarding that scripture .. has their been a radical change since then ?
a re-interpretation of that scripture ?.
why i ask this question is : here in victoria australia where afl football ( aussie rules ) is often regarded as a religion , especially to the state, victoria , we have, according to the media , a devout jehovah`s witness playing professional afl football at a competitive level.. and at their latest win , the team , including alec rance a jw of the richmond club was enthusiastically singing the club victory song along with his teammates on their win .. are their other examples of this in other parts of the world or is this an australian hiccup.. smiddy.

debating challenge: since the wt doctrine of the anointed generation must conform to bible teachings, and math 24 stipulates that the "generation " outlives "all these things" , and the anointed do not, how could they possibly be the generation, overlapping or not?

i have drawn the conclusion that when god speaks, he is using the language and the concepts of the time.
he is not revealing a new scientific understanding when he speaks.
that would be distracting from the point being made.
My view of humanity for what it`s worth . Since time began.

Superstitious ,
Easily lead
Gullible
Want somebody else to get them out of their predicament they have brought upon themselves.
Dont take responsibility for their own actions.
Cant , or wont , make a decision for themselves
Trusts or relies on someone else to do their thinking for them , and make decisions for them that they are reluctant to make for themselves.
And to live their lives based on how they perceive others think they should live.
And are quite happy to let others direct how they should live., which in their mind absolves them of any responsibility for any consequences .
And I would suggest a great many religious people fall into one or more of those slots .
