  spoke with a fellow apostate from my own area.

  she and i bailed out about the same time and kept in touch.. she used to do secular work with one of the local elders in his cleaning business until she got dfed.

  this same elder was one of the more profound dickheads on my reinstatement committee, before i turned around two years later and daed.. business required her to contact the elder on behalf of an old client.

  Can We Encourage Governments to Take Action Against Sexual Abusers of Children ?

  how many countries in the world today , are presently , or soon to be , setting up some sort of commission or an inquiry into child sexual abuse by an organization of any sort , religious ,sporting institution cultural .,etc.etc.. australia has , england has , and i believe germany is following suit .. are their anymore ?

  that we can add to the list ?.

  of course these inquirys take time , years in fact , but that should not deter us from forging ahead with this agenda.. it is the youth of today who get justice and the youth of tomorrow who can be spared this crime .. and the institutions can modify their policies to bring them up into the 21st century to protect their young.. so if the govt.

  Another Police Shooting

  this time a health aid shot whike helping a patient.

  Looking at the video , the guy that was shot was lying on his back with his hands in the air saying please don`t shoot officer , and identifying who he was , and then HE was shot.

  The autistic guy was just sitting their posing no threat to anybody at all , so why was the police officers firearm even drawn let alone fired at an unarmed black man lying on the ground with his arms in the air.

  Neither of these two people were a threat to anybody , this incident was such an over-reaction that should never have happened.

  Having said that , I can understand the fear /concern police officers have for their own safety in view of recent events .However they must err on the safety of the people who they have sworn to protect , the public.

  it might just be me imagining things.. i hear things from my jw spies.. from all that's being said, it seems to me that the rank and file(tm), are either waking up to the scam and fading/leaving.

  they are going full on 'cult mode' and acting like 'spiritual police'.. is it just me and my imagination?

  have others noticed this?.

  Having read all the previous posts here , if they are trying to get rid of the fence sitters and old timers , and those who hedged their bets by getting an education and a good paying job ( thankfully I was one of those )

  then I can agree with bradford`s post above about "the love of the greater number cooling off" before the end comes .

  They could milk that for another decade or two.

  When did "The Truth" become "The Truth"?

  it struck me that while the society and witnesses in general use the expression "the truth" for being a witness, it opens a can of worms..... i mean, when did the society become "the truth"?

  after all, as we well know (and feel free to list examples please), the doctrines and teachings, and procedures have changed so much since the organisation started, that what was once "truth" is no longer so and vice versa..... maybe the conversation between jesus and pilate was correct : "what is truth?

  Well as George Constanzas said , a lie is not a lie if you believe it`s the truth , right ?

  Jehovah`s Witnesses have no idea what truth is , as you rightly point out "TRUTH " changes every few years from old truths to new truths and sometimes back to old truths which have now become the new truths again.????

  That the Jehovah`s Witnesses have the " TRUTH" is a complete joke for anybody who knows anything about them .

  The Governing body of Jehovah`s Witnesses and their writing department of their publishing department have no qualms changing historical facts about their early history , re-writing it to give a false impression of what their early history truly represented..

  Thankfully in this day and age of the internet , and the Library of Congress in the USA , we can research old documents ,periodicals ,and magazines , books and the like., published by all and sundry.

  Animals not meant to eat meat

  how come animals teeth are designed to chew meat?

  sharks for instance have razor sharp pointy teeth these are not to eat vegetation .

  Mankind was supposed to have been given permission to eat animals after the flood of Noah`s day , by GOD ,presumably because it would take some time for the earth to sprout enough vegetation for the Arks inhabitants.

  So what about marine life ,? how was that affected by the flood .? The sea is full of flesh eating marine life that has apparently been going on for centuries before the flood , since creation.

  The flood upon the earth would have had very little impact on the food source available under the sea for marine life.

  Yet all sea life/ creatures live off the life of other sea creatures / life , just as land animals did , and that has always been the case.

  Do you have any examples or statistics to support your observation ? I have been out for over 20 years , so I wouldn`t have a clue .however it would make my day if it was true.

  hi a court in the uk in loughborough have fined the jws over £1 million pounds for the court costs for a child abuse case in loughborough in the east midlands..

  You do have supporters and friends here , where you can come to any day or night and just vent or rejoice in whatever mood your in ,and someone can interact with you.
