i was thinking that in 2014 or possibly 2015 a lot of witnesses will start questioning the organisation and we might even see a mass exodus.. i know at a stage i thought 2014 wow a hundred years surely the end will be here by then.. do you think the fact that it will be a 100 years since 1914 might trigger a lot of leaving and questions?.

or possibly they will still follow blindly, especially since the overlapping generations could go till 2070 or something?.

there very well could be a mass exodus type of domino effect since many are there sometimes whole families because of one strong mate/friend/relative, and one seemingly "strong" person leaving could take a few with him and make many more question, thus the domino effect.. thoughts.. .

I finally drove off my wonderful jw wife...and i am so sad..

i helped her move out this weekend so i must be a masochist too...so on top of losing every friend in my life...i have now lost my wife...and yes i asked her to leave on more than one occasion this year...we have argued for nearly five years about wt crap...nothing i could ever say would make her question anything!!!!

it was beyond frustrating...then this spring when i somehow disassociated myself and even lost my parents i knew i would never have a normal marriage no matter what...all i wanted was a normal marriage with mutual friends...that is off the table as long as she is a jw...but why could i not accept it???

why could i not shut up???

Sorry Oompa but I`m with your wife on this one ,cheating on your wife once maybe you both can work something out ,but cheating on your wife twice ? I dont think so.............. Maybe,just maybe you have made the religion as an excuse for your infidelity.

It`s not a case of you taking her back ,it`s a case of whether she can take you back.

Anybody here remember Mickey Spillane ?

i was just thinking back to the time when i was a teenager , i would read a lot of novels,this was before i became a jehovah`s witness and i came across mickey spillanes novels ,mike hammer detective stories,which later became a tv series with darren mcgavin.

during the sixties i learned mickey spillane became a witness,as i understand it from a tract left under his door,and if i remember correctly he became a ministerial servant conducting the weekly book study.he had apparently stopped writing his sex /crime /booze,pulp fiction type of thing.. later on i saw, possibly the 80`s or 90`s that he had started writing again,with the same old formular,and apparently a new much younger wife.

can anybody fill in some details here ?.

my computer-support service has checked my computer because it's been rather "glitchy" lately, and the hard drive is failing.... so, i'll end up being cut-off from the board, for a while.... some of you have my personal phone number, if you need to get in touch.... **********************************************************************.

here's something else that's been bothering me.... we're going to fly out to see the in-laws soon - and i'm very uneasy about flying.... if something should happen to me, could you people please help find good homes for my animals???

they are all indoors animals, have been spayed/neutered, and are pretty good with dogs.... there are six cats - the seventh one, minx, will have to be "put down", as she is slowly dying of feline leukemia, and is far too "high-maintenance" for anyone else to care for.... but there's chomper - a neutered male, six-toed cat, somewhat feral but ferociously loyal to anyone who will be patient with him - and feed him wet food... he's a big, short-haired grey-and-black tabby... unfortunately, in the process of the hard-drive decay, my computer no longer recognizes my crappy printer, and so i can't load a pix of chomper... but he's a big cutie!!.

I can't bring myself to say the phrase "the Truth" anymore....

i used to be able to say the term "the truth" with no issue.

that was whether i was speaking to jw's or not.

now all i can say is the "witnesses"(catching myself before saying 'witlesses').

Yet another Watchtower Lie

the watchtower website is currently highlighting the article "are jehovah's witnesses a protestant religion?

" from the the watchtower november 1, 2009. it makes the following comment:.

"third, unlike the protestant movement, which has splintered into hundreds of denominations, jehovahs witnesses have maintained a united global brotherhood.".

During the 60`s I was going door to door with the congrgation overseer at the time,the terminology they then used escapes me now,and we came to a place he described as a breakaway movement of the society, The" Beroean Bible Students" he told me at the time they were stuck in the mindset of Pastor russell,however since i`ve looked up the BBS,I cant find any reference to the WTB&TS Any thoughts ?
