  Is there new light about joining the Military?

  i'm sure there's probably not, but on jwmatch, which i subscribe to for laughs, i got their usual email today saying they found the perfect match for me, he's in hawaii, i'm in nyc, he's 40 and i"m 18 years older, perfect so far, right?

  anyway below is the first line of his narrative introducing himself.

  i am disfellowshipped and likely won't be reinstated until i retire from the military in three years.

  i have been lurking on this site for 3 years and this is my fist post.

  i would like to thank everyone for helping me wake up.

  i was baptized at 24, married at 25, ms for 18 years mentally in for 24 years but started to wake up 3 years ago doing research to give public talks, and the actions of arrogant and narcissistic brothers and sisters did not help.

  My thinking is that mentioning the A.R.C.may not have been such a good idea , that may send alarm bells off with the Elders ,Just my 2 cents worth.

  Thank you Barbara for posting this.More and more are we seeing the "Witnesses" being exposed to the general public for hiding and covering up child sexual abuse in there Religion .Such as :

  Australia ,U.K. ,U.S.A. ,Sth. America ,Europe

  An avalanche starts with just a few stones rolling.

  No wonder the Borg keeps asking for more and more money .

  Kudos to Umbertoecho I would love to have been a fly on the wall when she gave her evidence.

  And I believe the world in general IS hearing a lot more about JW`s their and cover up of child sexual abuse , even if most "winesses" keep there head in the sand.

  I've been depressed lately.

  my husband and i went to visit his family for the holidays.

  not everyone showed for the visit ,the weather was lousy, and it just generally sucked.

  now we're back to the same old routine with work and life and we're both depressed and alone.

  Time is something that endures all things , what you are feeling today is not what you will be feeling a month from today or even a year from today.

  Time heals all things eventually .

  Believe me , sooner or later the feeling of being miserable will pass , you just have to give it time .

  Keep venting on this site , that`s what we are here for , to help and encourage one another , through difficult times in our lives.

  Does the WT still use Zech.8:23 as a last days prophecy ? In veiw of the fact (evidently) the numbers of converts are decreasing worldwide ?

  this is a scripture that was used a lot during the 70`s & 80`s proving that the end was so close,and it was to culminate in a grand influx before the great tribulation.

  " it will be in those days that ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold,yes ,they will actually take hold of the skirt of a man who is a jew,saying,"we will go with you people for we have heard that god is with you people.".

  when you look at the reality of the situation in this day....,their seems to be a marked decline in worldly converts in christendoms lands.....,mainly baptisms coming from young born ins,..... and certainly no marked increases from either asian, oriental, or other non christian lands,that would seem to indicate another failed prediction/prophecy we can credit to the f&ds class.

  My RC hearing brought forward. Will be in two weeks

  through this forum of wonderful freaks, i have met someone who is coming with me to my hearing.

  initially i was slated for next year, but will be attending in two weeks time.

  all is in place from travel vouchers, support, where to go ............very efficient and well done.

  Don't fall through the "cracks"

  being able to understand and identify the "cracks" (i.e.

  unintended consequences) in the many systems we are surrounded by had a profound influence on my ultimate decision to step away from the org.

  i mentioned in my first post there were many nuanced details that added up to help me to finally take the steps i needed to exit, and this was a fairly big one.

  Thank you for that post , I found it very interesting how you responded to your husbands attempts to get you interested /involved in subjects that led you to see cracks in the "truth" .

  My wife , 2 sons and D.I.L. ,are all out of the religion , none of them D.F. or D,A, all of them left about 20 years or so ago , about the same time I did , yet I am the only one who has any interest in a site like this.

  My wife no longer believes in GOD or the Bible , my sons certainly do not , and as far as I can discern my D.I.L. does not believe in GOD anymore,

  None of them have any interest in sites like this .

  Yet I feel they are missing out on not knowing all of the information available on sites like this one that with certainty put a nail in the coffin of JW`s being nothing more than a made up American religion .

  Some people just seem to accept what is fact /true whereas others want to know the ins & outs of why that is fact or true ..

  The former can be misleading , whereas the latter is not deceived .

  Is it just me , or are these two different occasions filmed here , the one with the blonde in the red dress conducting the group in red & black regalia , at a Convention , however the other dudes look like they are at somebody`s wedding reception singing jailhouse rock .
