  Lame and werid sample presentations at the meeting

  they used to let bro's and sis's do the sample presentation and give them the leeway to put it in their own words thereby making it more natural.

  not so anymore!

  these days the sample presentations are beamed from mother website.. they seem to have been written by someone who has no experience of how people talk in real life.

  that said it offers great hope for finding effective treaments for parkinsons, alzheimers, lou gerhrig's disease and huntington's.. it concerns autophagy - an internal housekeeping system used by cells to get rid of defective proteins.. more than the above, it could lead to a cure for aging itself!.

  I`m really pissed off with reports like these that give false hope to people who have these , or any other type of disease , and in this case 7 years later we are still no closer to be able to say we have a cure.

  It`s cruel., and yet it seems to happen all the time.

  My wife was diagnosed with Parkinson`s over 10 years ago , and since yesterday she is in hospital for the next week while they monitor her condition .

  The medication she was on was changed , then went back to her original tablets and she is now worse than she ever was.

  Anxiety , depression ,hallucinations are just some of the symptoms , apart from the physical symptoms one can experience , as well as the side affects some drugs can have on you.

  So hopefully , they can sort out and properly manage her condition so she can lead a relatively normal life.

  She has never been one to go to doctors unless it`s ABSOLUTELY necessary .

  So yes , media releases that give promises ,false hope to people , in some cases 10 or 15 years or more before anything of the sort even looks like occurring pisses me off greatly.

  so at around the 46 min mark - the are talking to this guy from ukraine who was a zoologist.. he talks about how he was a staunch evolutionist (who wasn't able to prove evolution to himself, by the way).

  then when he studied nature through the lens of evolution - he found that nature contradicted evolution.. his big point came when he said - "imagine emptying a box of letter blocks on a table, and the encyclopedia britannica appears, or could a computer program come by chance.

  so who could dna come by chance.".

  Of course their answer is he had no beginning , he has always existed , which goes against their belief that everything has a beginning no -thing can come from nothing.

  i'm visiting this site after few years here and it's feels like coming home!

  just a recap on my past visits here ... i was a confused single jw mom with a 9 year old son in 2011. some friends here sent me soft copies of coc and few other ebooks which gave me the courage and strength to exit from wt society.

  The Christian GOD / Old Testament GOD , one and the same right? A GOD of Love ?

  and god is the same today as he was yesterday and will be the same tomorrow.. in other words he is unchangeable.. what a bloodthirsty god he was in the old testament., at his command killing old men young men women and children by the sword , a two edged sword i might add in some cases.cutting both ways.. put yourself in that situation for a minute , either as a victim or the executioner.

  can you imagine piercing some other human with a two edged sword ?

  especially if they were a child ?

  God created the animals , in the law covenant he makes provision for their health and well being

  .On the other hand he wants humans to sacrifice these same animals and bird life. In the 4000 years from Adam to Christ , he has wanted animal . bird sacrifices shedding their blood , would amount to the millions if not billions of animals slaughtered for him.

  Is their any difference in the New Testament ? not really , in spite of all the " LOVE" that surrounds Jesus life he wholeheartedly endorses his Fathers wishes .

  Christendoms religions cherry pick all the goody goody /lovey lovey scriptures they want but the bottom line is according to the Bible the majority of humans , man woman and child , are going to be annhillated at the great tribulaion and Armageddon

  Jehovah/GOD , apparently is not content with the shed blood of Jesus , he wants billions of people to shed their blood in his name. according to the New Testament.

  Where would modern day Israel be today if it were not for the backing of the most powerful nation on earth at the present time , namely the United States of America .

  Giving Financial , Military ,Economic ,and Technological aid to them.

  I don`t see any GOD involvement in their current status.They are propped up by the USA .
