was going through the book that is currently being studied at midweek meetings.. paragraph 18 of chapter 11 reads.... a second area of moral refinement involves themeasures taken to keep the congregation clean.

sad-ly, not all who accept jehovah’s standards of conductand dedicate themselves to god loyally stick withtheir decision.

some eventually have a change ofheart and willfully rebel against those standards.what is to be done about such ones?

I want to be a JW but they seem to hate me? Help!

just going to give a little background about myself and then bring anyone who is reading this up to speed with where i am today:.

growing up in a family that was not aware of jehovah's witnesses at all, as none of my family members have had a run-in with them other than my parents, my entire life has been a mess ever since we met them.

the witnesses first came to my door when i was 12 and my dad started bringing me to meetings and we even lived with a witness family for a month when we were both homeless due to my parent's divorce.

Welcome ALPD ,the first thing to do to get your mental health in check , while its not the whole answer, is to get as far away from the JW/WT religion as fast as you can

Seek professional help , as blondie says " seek out non-profit and support groups that deal with your challenges as you will not find it with the WTS and its members"

i just went to a pre screening of this movie about an adventist guy who didn't want to kill but joined the army as a medic on the front line.

desmond doss saved 75 men in one operation singlehanded on the island of okinawa where desmond worked lowering men down a 400ft cliff to safety.. i thought this may be of interest to jws because of the pacifist stand they also have.. the movie comes out on the 4 th november..

Relatives of those who have lost their lives putting faith of life or death in a religion that is neither Inspired nor Infallible.

with the admission of the governing body that they are neither inspired nor infallible , i am curious to know how many of you people from all around the world know of somebody ,a relative or friend , who lost their life because of following the dictates of a religion that now says they are neither inspired nor infallible.,that they now admit they make mistakes.. how many people have needlesly died having followed the jehovahs witness religions policys regarding not getting your child vaccinated against diseases ,which was the case years ago, not having organ transplants as that was considered cannilbalismm years ago ,and since the mid 1940`s the ban on jehovahs witnesses having blood transfusions.. yet somehow today you can have fractions of blood donated by non jw`s who are designated as people to be destroyed at armageddon because they follow satans system of things,.

blood that is donated by these people ,stored in a laboratory , and processed into fractions by laboratory staff and given to jehovahs witnesses with their consent.with no consequences to them for doing so.. blood is not poured out on the ground and not used for any purpose as their bible the nwt dictates.or any other bible for that matter..

I just looked at the section of where the couple shun their own son and stay loyal to jehovah.If a non JW saw this video it would go way over their heads , why? because WT is very careful how they word things in this instance. .The said video gives no indication that the parents have cut off all contact with their son unless he returns to the religion of Jehovahs witnesses in fact it gives the other impression that Levi ,the son has cut off all association with his parents after leaving the household.

Which is totally false.

The average person christian or non christian would be aghast if they knew jehovahs Witnesses cut off all association with their children simply because they didnt want to be part of that religion anymore.

Can you imagine Anglicans ,Methodists ,Presbyterians ,Congregationalists , parents treating their children in such an unloving way ?

We as ex JW`s can see what this video is getting at ,but a non JW would just not get it.

I couldnt stomach to watch the rest of it ,I hope it didnt relate more to levi and his shunning.otherwise I will have to go back and watch more of this crap.

how many witnesses are aware that technically, according to watchtower policy, they can if they wish too...associate with dissociated and disfellowshipped relatives.

for all those who are dissociated or disfellowshipped, please share this with your relatives who are currently shunning you.

there is nothing the elders can do as long as they are not discussing spiritual matters.

What Elders say and what they do can be two entirely different things.They are a law unto themselves .

Do you honestly think the CO, or DO, would not back up the body of Elders over such a matter ?

Jehovahs Witnesses speak out of both sides of their mouth , it suits there purpose to do so.

Help with fading, please...

i just left about six months ago and i'm going through the emotional whirlwind that comes with it.

i would really appreciate some advice on how to keep this fade from turning into my being disfellowshipped.

i'm another born in, third generation.

Welcome to the forum longgone ,just take a deep breath and think things through calmly your in no hurry to do anything ,just take things nice and easy and dont get stressed about it.

Time is on your side ,Armageddon aint coming anytime soon.

So whatever you do dont panic about it.

Think about your situation as if YOU are participating in theocratic warfare , dont feel guilty about your supposedly being deceptive , you do not want to harm your relationship with your father , so dont .

Learn how to play the game , JW , the GB, the FDS , have been playing this game for over a century.using new light as an example for excusing their false predictions ,prophecys , and expectations that was to happen.

Your dealing with a corrupt decietful lying organisation , why should you feel guilty stretching the truth a little bit to protect your relationship with your dad and anybody else you care for.

Just my 2 cents worth , I`m sure others here can be more helpful

large article at the top of page 20 in today's - 6th november 2016 - sunday observer, the 'sister' newspaper in the uk of the guardian which only prints monday to saturday.. the national society for the prevention of cruelty to children - nspcc - is the uk's leading children's charity, specialising in child protection and are the only uk children's charity with statutory powers and that means they can take action to safeguard children at risk of abuse.. the headline in the web version is slightly different, but the rest of the article appears to be the same.

nspcc rejects plan for 'mandatory reporting' of suspected child abuse.

the government’s consultation on reporting and acting on child abuse and neglect was launched amid concerns about past abuse in some of the country’s major institutions.

2016 death of my father who told me don't come back if your a Witness...still hurts my soul! Warning you all!!

i last spoke to my father in march 1990. we finished a "quick build" kingdom hall and i had a 17 year old spiritual awakening and decided to drop high school to pioneer full time.

(yes i was a dumb ass) he was not happy since my parents were divorced he was catholic.

we had a arguement and he said stay in school get a degree...and dont come back if your a witness!!

Org Is RACIST! Towards Sisters Of COLOR In Particular--IMO!
