i hope this is the right place to put this.

so, i joined this site a while ago because i was looking for conversation and to help people.

i think at the time i actually needed to be around the kinds of people that i had grown up with as well.

Welcome back jwundubbed ,i have been on this site about 10 years and I love it .You can say what you want be annon ,and for the most part nobody will judge you or shun you for your beliefs or life style

I was a Jw for 33 years ,left about 25 years ago ,so if you ever want to pm me and still be anon.I am here .I have a listening ear and if I can be of any service to you for whatever as I said I am here.

And believe me their are many folk here that will make you feel welcome and offer good advise with whatever question you present to them.

Is anybody here listening to what Kim Jon -un actually said ?

He has not said he would attack the mainland of Guam ,he has not not threateed that strike.initially anyway

What he did say was he would fire his missiles into the sea off Guam to demonstrate his ability to hit Guam if provoked by the Americans with their military exercises off the coast of north Korea threatening his regime.

It is just the same as what he has done off the coast of Japan ,his missiles have fallen into the sea off Japan

In previous posts I have not seen anybody state the true facts of his original statements .

By all means correct me if I am wrong.

The superstitious.

i will bet that the governing boobs are grateful for the superstitious.

after all, it's the superstitious who fill the ranks of jehovah's witnesses.

with the dubs it's not faith... it was never faith.. monday's eclipse should bring out the best in all they who are superstitious.

Jehovahs Witnesses are always seeking a sign

,However didnt Jesus say that those were " a wicked and adulterous generation keeps on seeking for a sign but no sign will be given it" etc.etc.

And as you say JW`s are very superstitious and are always looking for signs that we are living in the last days ,that the great tribulation is about to strke and also that Armageddon is imminent.

They claim to be Bible Students but obviously not very good ones.

Sorry I cant post them and I`m only going by faded memory for titles. however in their day they were good family movies young and old could get a laugh out of.

Apparently he did give a helluva lot to certan charities.$$$$$$ wise.

thank you watchtower society.. thank you for converting my parents into jehovah's witnesses.

i really was getting bored with christmas and birthdays and the 5 meetings every week were so much more fun than boring old children's parties.. thank you for getting me out knocking on doors solo at age 10. much better than kicking a football around.

it was a pleasure to see the astonished looks on my school mates faces when i knocked on their doors, especially on christmas day.

Thanks snugglebunny for reminding me of what an asshole I was for dragging my 2 boys out in FS when they were school age .I cant think of the horror it would have been for them to meet their schoolmates in the D2D work

I cringe when I think about what I put them through when I made them come with me.

Thankfully we are all out now and that happened about 30 and more years ago and we all get on well today and even laugh about it.

Their not the worse off for it and are even succesful in where they are today .

And finally..thank you to ME for having the balls to get out of that awful cult, marry a good woman and bring up a family free from guilt and manipulation!

Good for you sb ,that is the best message you can give the GB leading a successful life outside of the religion and bringing up children that the WT wont get their hands on.

1 John 5:13-20 Jesus is the true God?

one of the main things i am trying to wrap my head around after waking up to the nonsense of jw.org is the deity of christ.. jws go out of their way to ignore him, it seems to me.

they make him out to be an angel or something.

yet, if one simply reads the scriptures, you get an entirely different picture.. doing some bible reading this morning i accidentally (long story) read the latter part of 1 john 5 and it's good stuff.. after reading it in the niv i read it in nwt and it is still pretty amazing even in that abomination of a translation.. it says.... 13 i write you these things so that you may know that you have life everlasting, you who put your faith in the name of the son of god.

2000 years later and people are still debating what God actually said or meant when he said it.

And its all left up to imperfect human interpretation to what he was supposed to have meant.

And God hasnt bothered to clear up the confusion one way or another in all this time.

In this day and age of technology /communication it doesnt fare well for an Almighty God who created the Universe does it ?

Apparently sholars can study Ancient greek ,Aramaic ,and Hebrew ,and they are still none the wiser as to whether Gods word says what he meant ,or meant what he said.

He sounds like a God of confusion to me observing all this 2000 years later.

that's what i've been told by a family member (elder) who went to one of the regional conventions in the north of the u.k lately, who told me the 300 or more disfellowshipped who returned to jehovah by attending show that the end is so close, just like the final talk says..

If true it certainly doesnt mean the end is just around the corner still. What it does mean is that these people are motivated by their feelings and not by their intellect .

Many people leave the religion however the religion never leaves them.A people with low self-esteem and would rather someone do their thinking for them rather than they use their own brain to analyse what is being said to them by the WT.

When their is a percieved crisis in the world the fear of Armageddon takes over their rationale and they flock back to the KH.

When things quite down they leave off again until the next crisis in the world.

If they took the time and effort to educate themselves doctrinally in the first place they wouldnt fall into this never ending cycle.

What Is the JW Belief Regarding the Millennium?

most christian religions believe it will be a thousand-year period of peace.

jws, however, seem to believe in the resurrection and then life on paradise earth.

but do they believe in the millennium the way other christians do -- where the lion will lay down with the lamb [bzzzt...mandela effect correction] wolf will lay down with the lamb?

Jehovahs Witnesses dont believe anything the same way other Christians do thats why they are Witnesses of Jehovah and not Witnesses of Jesus as the Christian Greek scriptures instructs Christians to do.

how will life in the Millennium be any different than life after the Millennium?

Simply stated instead of Jesus being King and ruler forever, after his thousand year rule , he hands it all back to Jehovah to be THE TRUE GOD and RULER over mankind as it was in Eden .

White supremacy is an ideology of peace

i'm tired of hearing these constant attacks on white supremacists after the events in charlottesville.

why are moderate white supremacists being lumped in together and sharing the blame for the actions of one reprehensible man that misinterpreted the ideals of white supremacy and became violent?

clearly the motivation of such attacks on white supremacists is nothing other than racism.

I'm sure there'll be a few that misinterpret this, but here's a hint: it's satire. I agree with nothing I'm writing in favor of white supremacy. I'm honestly interested, though, where the real difference lies between the ideology of white supremacists driving them to violence vs the religion of islam driving them to violence. They're both obviously wrong. They're both rooted in violent histories.

How many people commenting missed the point of the OP , its

Set the record straight!

i would like to state publicly, on this forum, i no longer hold the views i had a year ago.. with much thought, research, study and logical examination i have come to a better understanding of my beliefs and where i stand on all these issues.. i'm very happy to announce i have returned to healthful teaching of the holy scriptures and i firmly believe that the governing body of jehovah's witnesses is the faithful slave.. sorry if i have contibuted to any kind of stumbling and know that if i can turn things around then there's hope for all who come to there sence.. phill4:6,7.
