Yep, flowerpetal. I've made that very argument myself. One has to ask why the distinction between Adam's not being deceived and Eve's being deceived was made in the Bible? Was it not to emphasis one and mitigate the other?

i've heard there were some editorial "cleanups" from the books/bound volumes to the wt cd.
if anyone can post information on any changes made to the text of the litter-ature i'd appreciate it.

In fact, the CD ROMs contain very few changes from the bound volumes, if any. The bound volumes are where the society makes changes from the individual magazines though, because the society knows that very few dubs save the individual magazines.

hullo everybody i'm new here, even though i've been lurking now for several months.. i have to say how afraid i am to post, afraid and ashamed but i feel if i dont tell my story, i honestly dont know what may happen to me or my children if they lose me, right now i feel like i've got nowhere left to turn and have my doubts about this place as well.. i know my story will shock you but i cant keep it in any longer.

Of course, you can always do that same thing as someone who is "inactive." I'm inactive and I'm a big thorn for the Printing Corporation. They cannot DF me now. I've been out nearly 30 years. The Flock book says to "take into consideration" how long people have been out before they act, and I think that an ENTIRE generation is a long enough time before those twit window-washer-elders understand I'm a hopeless cause in their hopeless religion.

I agree with those who urge you to use caution. This is especially true if they try to probe you with questions about whether you believe the FDS is God's spokesman and whether you do not believe anything they say. You have the best possible world by being inactive. Don't rock the boat unless you are prepared to face the consequences is my opinion on the matter.
The best possible non-answer-answer is "I just have a lot of questions in my mind right now and need time to think about them." Say no more than that and you should be ok.
If the elders are not ready to hear the truth about the "truth," nothing you can say will convince them otherwise, no matter how well you say it.

The brain of the average dub goes into hibernation at 3.5 minutes IF they have coffee handy. TOPS! If not, it's about 39 seconds. If it is an interested householder who also happens to have rather larger, er, "girl glands" and IF the dub is also a male of almost any but a senile age, the attention span increases to several million years and his pioneer stats go off the charts as far as "time witnessing" (i.e. time oogling) goes.
