OK to Check In?

i just felt the need to check in.

i've just felt so touched at the heart by those of you who responded with such loving interest yesterday.

and while i need to be grown up, responsible, and wise, sometimes all i want is for someone to love me and keep me safe.

: I didn't know that the GB no longer writes, and I've only been inactive a couple of years but still have had access to the pubs and an occasional CA and DA.

From what I've been told, it's only when they make decisions on doctrinal matters are the articles written about what they say and think. Everything else is left to others: re-cycle that same old stuff. When they DO make new doctrinal decisions, one or some of them must review the stuff before it goes into print. (At least I would HOPE this is true.) It must be a sad plight to be a ninety plus-year-old geezer having to review and proof-read shit that was just dictated by one's ninety plus peers who are worn out and most likely want to retire to Patterson. Even being on the GB (the seat of God's Visible Organization) must get tiring after many decades. Decent people just retire when they are in their nineties. GB members don't retire. Therefore GB members are not decent people. It's possible or maybe even likely they are Prima Donnas.

I could be wrong about them, though. I DO know they dispense shit as "Truth(tm)." I can prove this part.

Can you help me figure this out?

i am working on refining the estimate of deaths related to the watchtower's blood policy, especially as they relate to children.. those of us who spent many years inside the wts can testify to the large percentage of jw children who are either disfellowshiped or simply walk away upon attaining adulthood.

my guess.

is that the number is approximately 50%.. we can come up with some pretty solid numbers regarding how many jw children die because of the blood policy.

I cannot answer your question, but a statement of yours begs another question from me:

How can you do this? The WTS loves statistics, but they never publish numbers about their followers who've died refusing blood transfusions, have they? Even if they have, have they also published information about who were children who died and who were adults that died?

Where do these "solid" numbers come from? Do they include some child in e.g. Ukraine who died in a hospital because their parents refused blood for that child?

I haven't read your Web Site for a while so please forgive me if I'm not-up-to-date on how you derive your numbers.

I have spent a lot of time looking for answers, Friday. A LOT of time. I've concluded if they answers are anywhere, they are to be found outside what's in the Bible. My posts have to do with the way the Bible presents God, and I don't believe the Bible. How then could I believe the God presented in the Bible?

Uh, know-it-all: Norm has been doing this for years and years. He's helped countless dozens or hundreds to leave the WTS. He's an expert witness in JW child-custody cases. I find it laughable that you are giving him advice. Ninety Nine percent of his posts ARE facts, with copious quotes from old and new literature put out by the society. The other one percent is chit-chat. Obviously, Norm doesn't use this forum to chit-chat.

Everything he said in his post was reasonable. Most loyal dubs ARE braindead. One cannot be loyal and intelligent as a JW and be anything other than braindead. Greetings Norm,

I have a blind friend. We we first started getting acquainted, I mentioned to him that I had been dub but left many years ago. He told me that he has a free service which delivers books and periodicals from a blind library containing audio cassettes of all sorts of things.

He said that a dub called on him and upon discovering he was blind went to that library and brought him some tapes of Watchtower literature, which he then heard. I asked him what he thought about it and without any help, hints or coaching from me said:

"They are the biggest bunch of self-serving self-glorifying religious leaders I've ever heard! Almost every paragraph is about THEM, the leaders! Whenever they talk about the Bible, it always applies to THEM. I've never seen such grandious egos in my life!"

To think that a huge book like the Bible written over thousands of years and read and studied by countless billions was written for the sole benefit and understanding of a dozen old guys in Brooklyn New York in only the last hundred years of human history is to think like a braindead idiot.

He never became a dub. Thank God.

Why would he do that? Doesn't he have a life outside of wiping out cities and Civilizations and preparing for the mother of the mother of ALL holocausts including the biggest one He had EVER done before? Not satisfied with a major headliner, He's upping the ante and preparing for the EPIC holocaust, namely the end of all (except a few dubs) as we know it.

Why would he just screw around with Abraham's head when he was going to kill them all, anyway? God got his own way, and Abraham wasted his time: God killed them all, including Abrahams's nephew's wife. God likes to kill and he will find all sorts of ridiculous reasons to do it. Tell your "Father" I said THAT about Him! He'll probably kill me. That's what he does for a living. I guess deaf and blind Gods need some sort of recreation: they can't hear prayers, they don't see the misery their children suffer, so they just KILL, KILL, KILL.

Right. Kill the victims of their own creation. Sounds like God is more and more like the Watchtower Printing Corporation. They were made for each other.
