Are you pro-activist, anti-activist, or passive?

i ask this question because, having been on this forum for a year now, it's clear to me that there are many shades to so-called "apostasy", and this is particularly evident in the realm of anti-watchtower activism.. when i use the word "activism", likely picketing kingdom halls and conventions springs to mind.

however, activism can be far more subtle than that.

just having a website or a book that sheds light on the flaws of watchtower dogma is really a form of activism - arguably the most effective form at that.

I don't think most of you know how much Nathan Natas has contributed to this cause. I do. My life is richer because of him.

This thread gave three choices, but it didn't give ALL the choices: pro-activitist, anti-activist (whatever THAT means) or passive.

It left out a number of other choices. Therefore the argument is a false dilemma.

One of the categories left out was this one: "Fuck you, Watchtower Society. I will do everything I can to bring you down, jerks." If you want to boil it down to something simple, then try "Watchtower Nihilism."

But I prefer the "Fuck you" part. That's just me. I never went to college and I learned my potty mouth hanging around pioneers when I was doing that. We all talked like that, except at the doors. Then we lied.

The Mormon 'Miracle'

i grew up in the mormon state, so i can attest this as true.

the state bird is the seagull, a disgusting, bullying, messy and annoying scavenger.

there are zillions of seagulls around the great salt lake, just a few miles north of salt lake city.. why is it the state bird and why does killing one of those flying rodents bring on a fine of $100?

Why is it the State Bird and why does killing one of those flying rodents bring on a fine of $100? (That was in the mid-1960's. It's probably much higher now.) It's because early on in the settlement of Utah, the settlers had a huge infestation of crickets which were eating up their crops. So they prayed to God for intervention. Lo and Behold! Flocks of seagulls descended on the crickets and ate them up!

This is a Mormon miracle and proves beyond any doubt that God is on their side. Ask any true believing Mormon and they will agree.

Why haven't they figured out that seagulls go where the food is?

Did refusal to Serve in Military prevent U from getting a Passport later?

not wishing to hijack diest's thread i wanted to ask the above question to those who were affected.

the criminal record you received is terrible in itself, but i wanted to ask if it has affected whether or not you could get a passport.

: I read elsewhere that one of Watchtower President had a US passport even though he refused to take part in military training. god know how he got it.

He sold out his religion to Caesar, that's how. US Citizens had to swear an oath of allegience before they could be issued US Passports. In order to travel oversees and spread WT propaganda, ALL WT Presidents from Russell to Henschel swore that allegience. The link below from our own Marvin Shilmer provides scans of those documents, complete with pictures of the presidents, and their signatures.

To say those men were lying hypocrites would be way too kind.
