  Clarify- I'm going back to Meetings to save my wifes sanity! What would you do?

  i recently posted that my wife has had mental/depression problems since she hurt her back at work 12 months ago....and since after years of picking on the witnesses by me, she finally lost her faith in them and became in-active....victory i thought!

  slowly her stress levels began to rise...she quit work and rehab....then the sleeplessness, wierd behavior..wild agression....bizzar stuff.

  we split for two months after much stress...she called me back home crying and i relent...she lost many kilo's {pounds} in weight, and isn't doing well i want to help, i was heartbroken to see this.

  In my inner world, people matter more than abstract ideas, ideals, ideologies, etc. Give your wife a break. Stop hammering at her faith. It was obviously the only thing holding her together. I destroyed my own wifes faith just like you. I destroyed her. I was devastated at what I had done. So, I searched and found another Christain sect (Actually, the second largest Christian church in the world, with 500,000,000 adherents) that I knew would appeal to her. It worked. She is now much happier, her inner world makes sense and has purpose. She feels connected. If you love your wife above impersonal ideas, you'll get your fanny in gear and help her find a new faith.

  A Question About The Kingdom Interlinear Translation

  i no longer have my 1969 edition kit (or 1985 for that matter), but i'm very curious as to how the literal english sublinear beneath the westcott and hort greek text translates the words "aion" and "aionios.

  " the nwt usually idiotically translates as "system of things" when in actuality "aion" means "eon" or "age" and "aionios" means everlasting, eternal, and according to some translations such as young's literal and the concordant version "age lasting" and "eonian.

  here are some verses to look up to let me know how the kit translates the above koine greek terms: matthew 13:39,40,49,28:20 .

  Athanasius, they hide the word "aion" and "aionios" behind the ridiculous words "system of things" for very sinister reason. System of things would be a good, albeit clumsy, translation of "kosmos" which does mean "system" but "aion" and "aionios" are time-related words, and are in fact a Key to resolving the conflict between two camps: One one side, those who believe in either the annihilation or eternal torment of unbelievers, and on the other side those who see that the NT--especially but not exclusively Paul--teaches Universal Reconciliation.   Thanks Mary for the actual photographic evidence! Your kind work is very much appreciated. Thank you everyone else too. No wonder the Watertower Bottle and Trap Society dumped the KIT! On the left is the Koine Greek with a fairly accurate English sublinear, and on the right is the New World Abomination. For any JW reading this, get a copy of the 1969 KIT and use it, and you'll see why the Tower Boys dumped it. It exposes the NWT for the sack of ship it is.

  i was struck by a quote in a very recent watchtower claiming that wts publications are now part of the bible.

  quite a bold statement.. how about these two quotes beside each other:.

  we would not refuse to treat one as a brother because he did not believe the society is the lord's channel.

  Google the Dawn Bibe Students Association which still publishes the six volumes of Studies In The Scriptures as well as other material by Russell. They publish materials you can read online that establish their basic beleifs, the same as they were in Russells day, right down to the chronology based on the Great Pyramid. Then you can guage for yourself just how far the WTBTS has journeyed.
