I threw them away (and let me tell you....I felt SO GUILTY when I threw the Bible in the trash ). However, I recently found some old Watchtowers and Awakes in my room and in the trunk of my car. I'm sure those will be meeting their demise soon.

No PG movies. Not PG-13, but PG! The brother said that the PG stood for Pure Garbage. If I recall correctly, this was said from the platform at a DC. My friend and I just looked at each other like .

Painfully Long Prayers on the last day of the 3-day Conventions.
by blkblk13 inanyone else hate this practice?
uve been sitting all day 4 three days @ this place and u just wanna hurry up and finish ur cleaning assignment so u can go out to eat w/ ur friends, but bro.
special speaker from bethel/or do has to give a one man symposium during his prayer recapping every single moment of the past 3 days.. its like they have this formula that they use to determine how long a prayer should be.

I once counted a prayer that was over 10 minutes long. I know this because I was staring at the clock the whole time. Once I started driving myself and not relying on my parents transportation, I made a run for it at the beginning of the last song.

Am I the only one that Cannot PAY ATTENTION to Jehovah?
by Sparkplug innow i hate to sound as add as i am, but usually if i read something twice i can make myself focus if i am wandering.
but everytime i start to read anything that has something to do with the wtbts i cannot get it even after repeated attempts.
it is as if charlie browns mom is right in my ear and my mind will not register.

Omg, I'm the same way! If I try to read something from the WTBTS, my eyes glaze over.

Did You Ever "Rat" Anyone Out To The Elders?
by minimus inafter you told on someone, did you feel like a snitch?
-
TinyDancer124
Only my ex-husband and that was just so I could get a Biblical divorce. It wasn't any of my business to "rat" out anyone else.

Why a college education is bad
by TooBad TooSad inat our recent butt numbing, mind dulling, sleep inducing district assembly on saturday morning there.
was a talk where the speaker said that we are going to make a list that shows the contrast between.
jehovah's organization and satan's organization.

College is the debil!
The congregation I grew up in disbanded, because people kept leaving. Those remaining had to start attending neighboring congregations. Heh.

My badge would come off the second I stepped out the door of the civic center and as soon as I got to my hotel, I dressed like a slob. It was awesome.

Did you help clean the Kingdom Hall, yard work, maintenance?
by Thechickennest inat one hall i attended for serveral years had a lawn covering large man-made burms with trees and bushes.
it was a difficult yard to mow and maintain.
i have often wondered why we all pitched in and worked so hard for nothing.

When I was real young, I did. I loved it.
Once I got older, I got sick of it (heck, I don't even like to clean my own house! lol) and would sneak out the back door as soon the amen was said whenever it was my BS's turn.
