  i think all of us ex-j-dubs have had the --i'll call it a privilege--to exchange views with others who think differently than we do.

  we encounter "christians" from mainstream churches.our dialogue is sort of...like speaking to martians.sooner or later, an ex-dub smacks into a wall.

  that wall is a subject which is never spoken about or taught by the gb or watchtower with any candor.

  I noticed this too when I left.

  Grace is such a beautiful, spiritual, light concept.

  Undeserved kindness is very guilt ridden and legalistic. Even Calvinist.

  But I'm an atheist now- so I think it's all bs!

  question from readers: with all the animal sacrifices, wouldnt the temple smell worse than a stockyard?

  with all the cattle, sheep and others wouldn't they be shitting and peeing all over the place?

  along with the gallons and gallons of blood being drained and then the flesh being burned as well.

  wouldn't the stench be unbearable?.

  i happened to be in brooklyn yesterday and decided to take a spin around the old hq.. the factory buildings have cool retail at ground level and offices or loft apartments above.

  the whole factory complex area looks very cool- now that it is not jw'd..

  Easy- Brooklyn is where all of the "cool kids" live now. Coffee bars, skinny jeans, music halls and restaurants with names Iike "chicken and waffles"

  i wish i had read this back when i was 18. it's an amazing take down of religious beliefs, the bible, and religion in general.

  ) a "reason"-able manner.take this quote, from near the beginning:.

  i don't have it in me to be mean to the j dubs when they drop by so i chat with them.

  on thanksgiving morning one of them dropped by (my wife previously asked them to stop coming by).
