i was reading proverbs chapter 8 last night, and i just happened to be using the nasb, and i noticed that wisdom is personified as a female in verses 1-3, calling out to people to listen.
i noticed that in the nwt, wisdom is not personified in these verses, but rather referred to as "it".
eerie coincidence was that this morning on the subway train, a woman was reading proverbs 8 in her kjv as i was standing over her.

Curious, if being a JW satisfies your spiritual needs, that is just fine and dandy and I'm very happy for you. But if the generation gaff is the only thing you see wrong with this cult, you're living on another planet. The Watchtower destroys lives and families on a daily basis. Actually Shelby, the length of the creative days is not the issue when it comes to Adam. As I'm sure you know, it's the geneologies listed from Adam to Jesus, as was plainly stated in the gospels, that the entire Orthodox Christian theology depends upon. Those are literal years, dear Shelby. There is simply no room for those extra 6,000 years dating back to the earliest known temple of worship...clearly separating those people from the Neanderthals.

Bohm, if you check out the link I posted above, the geocentrists have solved the problem of the tremendous distance the stars would need to travel in a day by shrinking the actual size of the universe down to ONE HALF OF ONE LIGHT DAY in diameter. They do this by saying that when the distance to a star is measured, (using trigonometry), the base of the triangle used for the calculation should be only 8,000 miles, the diameter of the earth, instead of how mainstream astronomers do it, using a base of 186,000,000 miles, the distance traveled by the earth in six months between measurements. This would reduce the distances to the stars by a factor of more than 25,000. In other words, 25,000 light years gets reduced to one light year, and then, they claim that the outside walls of the universe, the frozen "water canopy" in the book of Genesis, acts as giant mirrors causing endless reflections of the closer galaxies, making the vast majority of them appear to be much further away. So basically, the universe is a giant, inverted mirrorball like that which hangs above the dance floor in a disco, and yes, it is made of ice. This is how God "multiplies" the sons of Israel like the stars. This is the "electrum" of Ezekiel's chariot visions. God's throne sits up above it somewhere, outside the physical universe. So, God is basically a big jokester, fooling us with mirrors, and they've got the scriptures to back up that idea too.

There are only two emotions that enter human consciousness: Love and Fear. God and Satan. Every other emotion is a by-product of one of those. I think this in itself tells us exactly who "Jehovah" is: Satan. The TRUE God cannot be the producer of evil, because the evil came along after we became separated from the Most High.
For a free-will, three-dimensional universe to exist, there has to be two polarities. If this universe became separate from God, but is evolving back to God, there has to be a negative force, an adversary.
I've seen this illustration in a book I've read, called "Nano: Technology of Mind Over Matter", by Kabbalist Rav Berg. He says that if two star soccer players have children (let's say Pele and Beckham), and they both have the natural ability to be like their fathers, they cannot develop into star players themselves without training. So if one trains against a skilled goalkeeper (the Adversary) and the other against an empty net, who is going to be the better player?

Marshall Hall and others are saying that NASA bases their calculations for launches on a non-moving earth, because "the math is easier". Personally I can't vouch for that, maybe someone else knows more about how NASA does things.
He also says that the only "evidence" that mainstream science offers 4th graders for heliocentrism is stellar parallax. Personally, I don't remember being taught anything else myself. It's just stated as "fact", probably because it just IS, and not many would challenge it these days. Except of course, for a Bible believer.
